One of the things I've had to 'give up' on now that I've found out I'm pregnant is the Auckland half marathon. I did the event last year and was really, really, looking forward to doing the one this year... oh well.
Anyway I've talked my trainer and doctor and if I take things easy, I should be able to do the quarter instead. Yah! Now I just need to summon some energy to actually get my running shoes back on. |

Wow! Good on you.
I walked the Round the Bays at 31 weeks, thinking if I could run it the year before I should be able to walk it... BAD idea!!! Between the loo stops, the back pain and the swelling (it was so bad and so sore, I had no idea what was happening! My forearms and hands were in agony, couldn't touch fingers to each other), it was all a bit much! Haven't got a ticket yet (but trademe is a good thing!). I haven't given up any of my training yet and hopefully won't have to give it up too much (maybe just the intensity!).
