Hi,

I am 37 wks today, my baby has been dropping for about 4 weeks now and is partically engaged. I have had a slightly upset stomach on and off for the last week, period like pain for a few minutes a couple of times a day. Last night I woke and made one of my trips to the loo and had an attack of the shivers, I have never experienced anything like it! It was very violent and I wasn't really cold!
This is my first baby so am flying blind! am I heading for an early labour or is this really no indication? thanks

i have heard of it being an early sign of labour, i was induced so didnt really go through the early stages the same way but did get quite shaky at one stage near the start. ask dear old google but let your MW know as well as although 37 is at term is still good to give them a heads up just in case you go early and they want to monitor you or just in case it isnt normal, always be better to be safe than sorry.

I got shivering with both of my babies but that was well into labour around the transistion period.
