I got my blood results back yesterday from the Dr, they were for CD20, & they came back as .6 the range is 0-50, so I did not even make it in the range.

I need to increase my progesterone levels, lengthen my cycle and my LH. (Yip not wanting much, lol)

So thanks to my OHbaby friends, & old OB topics, & Google I have come up with a plan, just want to know if it’s a good one, should I add anything / take away anything, or do something different??

So will start on 1st day of AF

Metformin
Vitex -1000mg a day
B6-50mg a day
Grapefruit juice, then Pineapple juice after OV.

Thanks

I know nothing about the ins and outs of ttc so I'm just being nosey here. Why do you have to lengthen your cycle? (if your cycle is 26 days) I'm just genuinely curious cause thats how long mine is

One of my cycles was 23 days, My LH is about 11 days, if I can get my cycle back to a 28ish cycle my LH might increase. Just trying to better the odds of getting pg.

I was shocked at my progesterone levels, have never had them tested before & have had full term pg.

Hiya Jazzy, sorry I don't know all the background but is it possible that you had your blood test too early, causing the low prog level?

Well the Dr said day CD20, FF says I ov on CD10, (early), was told bloods should be done 7DPO, had mine done 10DPO so the reading could be different I guess, but I am now CD24 & 14DPO (usually only get to 11DPO), but can not be pg because of my prog level

Jazzy, tell him that you want to do another CD21 test for the next cycle because you did not ovulate (from the fever).  And then go 7 days after ovulation on your next cycle and bluff the nurse and say it is cd 21....     AND tell him to tick off the HCG (pregnancy) test too

When you get your blood form from the Dr tell him not to put a cycle date on it. My GP never put a cycle day as my O day varied cycle to cycle. She just put what she wanted tested and I would go at 7dpo.

My LP is 12 days so you dont need to have an LP of 14 days to sustain a pregnancy.

Also with the HCG test at 7DPO, if you implant late then this could come up negative when you could very well be pg.. Just as an FYI As if one little line on a HPT isnt disappointing enough!

Good luck!

I have low levels too, and after doing some internet searching found this site:

http://www.ovulation-calculator.com/preconception/progesterone.htm

which said this:

There are several things you can do to boost deficient progesterone levels. Clearly, visiting a doctor to discuss the nuances of a particular issue may be the best first option. However, a fertility supplement, like FertilAid for Women, may help to bring progesterone levels into an ideal range for achieving pregnancy.

FertilAid is very similar to Elevit.. which has the same minerals and vitimans to help enhance the vodies ability to produce Progesterone...but maybe it only works if you are able to produce it in the first place??

Suzbub, thanks for that very interesting read.

I went to the health shop on Friday to get some vitex, & the lady gave me some information on femzone, so got neither as I wanted to look it up.

Have you seen (Topic: Vitex - increasing cycle length?), I was reading that & some had a lot longer cycles, so I am not going to get any this cycle want to check my levels again first.

I have started taking Metformin & B6-50mg a day.
will take Grapefruit juice when I squeezed them,
