How have you ladies done this? May I have your tips please. TIA!

I am up to two bottles a day (morning tea and late afternoon) but don't know how to progress. Two bottles at those times of the day works well in terms of my current milk supply.

I thought I'd be more sad about weaning DS but since introducing formula he slept through the night for first time and doesn't need to be breast fed every 2-3 hours - so I feel much more rested myself.

Well, my way is probably not a good way, but after 5 lots of thrush and then mastitis I had had enough. One day I just stopped offering boob and gave him bottles.....had to express the feeds I would have been giving him for about 2 weeks (I took a while doing it) getting less each day. Then for about another week I had sore hard boobs, then one morning I got up and boobs were like empty sacks of nothing. Had no leaking or soreness since and that was 5 months ago.

I weaned like that with my son, just ontroducing a new bottles eeach week or so. So now I would just pick another feed that you want to replace and give hima bottle - your body will take a few days, but realise that you don't need the milk at that time either... just dropping a feed a week works well for avoiding geting overengorged!

I weaned Callum because my supply was crap so I had been topping him up at all feeds. Essentially the way we stopped BF altogether though was to give more formula at each feed and then no (.) at all IYKWIM? For those last two feeds (mine were first thing in the morning and then mid morning) I just dropped one and about 5 days later dropped the other. The first one I think I needed to express once and then the next one didn't need to express at all and didn't feel uncomfortable either.

Great that you're feeling more rested, it's amazing how much BF takes out of you huh. I still have sad moments sometimes about not BF but Callum is happy (and chubby) and therefore so I am

I weaned Jaye at 7 months. Started by giving him a formula feed before bed. Over the week I replaced the other feeds. Only had to express a couple of times to relieve the pressure. Apart from a bit of bearable discomfort on my part it was as simple as that.
