Hi everyone,
Just wanting to buy a teething necklace - not wanting to pay too much (under $30 if possible) so was looking on Trade me.
Had anyone bought an amber teething necklace off trade me before? Who did you buy it from? Was it good quality?

Also what should I look for in the description? I know that it should be knotted between each bead but is there anything else?

Cheers!

You want a plastic or molded amber clasp, not metal. I looked on trade me but decided to go through an on-line shop instead - Got the necklace for $35 with free postage, worked out the same price as TM but I know that if it's faulty I can send it back and get a replacement or refund.

Thanks Flutterby - which online shop did you buy it through?

I have ordered one of trademe, should arrive today I hope, it cost $26 plus $1.5 postage.
Will let you know what I think of the quality when it arrives, but the lady had many sales and lots of pos feedback.

I think that what you look for in a necklace depends on who you talk to. I ended up buying one through the mw that ran our AN classes. Ours is not individually knotted, I was told that the amber needs to be able to rub together. Ours is also silk threaded and very strong.
I paid alot more for mine though

mothersinstinct.co.nz - they also do mcn's and other stuff. The necklaces are much prettier in real life then they are in the photo's! I got the mixed colour and it is sooo pretty! E is a redhead and it suits her colouring really well.

I don't think the amber needs to rub together. The analgesic qualities are released through skin contact.
The individual knots are good because if it breaks only one bead will come off.
The clasps are designed to pop apart if the necklace is pulled though.

I got mine of trademe from weerascals_nz
24.50$ free delivery :)
