I seem to have hit a wall. I am so so tired, I'm emotional, I feel like crying and I just want to go to sleep. I don't know if this is a stock standard phase that I'm going through or if it's something else. I'm working full-time and it's tiring me out, along with helping DH with everything that needs doing.

Does this end??

I must say that between 20 and 28 weeks were the worse for me! The closer to finishing work, (next week) the easier it is getting as there is something to look forward to, which didn't seem like forever away.

Hope you feel better soon.....oh and paid sick days are useful!

I finish work in 4 weeks and 1 day (or 19 work days as I have 2 days of annual leave for exams in there as well.....)...yes the countdown is definitely on. I only have a couple of sick days left so want to use them wisely...it's good to know it does end though, because I am knackered.

Ive been feeling the same Kate and my MW gave me me latest blood results today and my iron is SOOOO low, she said its dangerously low if I were to go into labour etc.

So you could have low iron, especially seems as you are carrying twins hun, Id ask to have it checked.

Kate im a bit the same. im shattered by the end of the day but keep trying and doing stuff. like i have yoga tonight and tho i am shattered its going to make me feel better. (im convincing myself!)

Last week i had a really bad week where i would cry at anything DH did. He had to stay away for the night and i cried, he went to his dads and i cried cos he wasnt spending enough time with me, DH hit our dog (not hard) and i cried cos i couldnt belive he had hit her even tho she was being really naughty and we usually give her a tap on the bum for things like that. it really was irational and so not like me at all and DH ended up getting sh*tty at me cos i couldnt stop crying.

I can see tho with your DH not being able to do much that you have a lot on your plate and pregnant or not you are bound to get exhausted! Can you take a "ME" day this weekend where you just stay in bed and read or go do something just for you?

The crying at everything is very normal I am the same at the moment, and was with Caden as well.

Silly preggy hormones!!

But definitely get your iron checke dif you havent already kate, you mgiht find that its low and thats why you are feeling more tired and upset than normal.

I will ring the clinic and see if they can organise for an iron test to be taken tomorrow when I do my fasting glucose one...and possibly B12, as I think I'm seriously overdue for my top-up shot.

Hannah - not a chance. With the house, we don't even get a day to ourselves, let alone one for just me.

Kate, maybe you just need to take a day out? I know its hard, but sometimes you need to put yourself first.

We were mid-renovation when we started TTC and got pg right away. So suddenly I've been miserable and useless because of morning sickness and I've had to take several weekends off from renovating so I can cope with the week at work. We had hoped to be done by now, but realistically there is a few weeks worth of stuff to be done yet. But for me it was worth it to keep me sane and not feeling quite so awful. Is there anyway you can just walk away for a day?

Big hugs to you anyway. You have a lot on your plate and I think you are doing an amazing job coping with it all.

I was in bed everynight between 6-8pm from 5weeks-30weeks lol.

I kept waiting for me to stop being so tired but it didnt

I also had extreame morning sickness until 24 weeks and it was in the morning lol

I just found i needed too sleep 24/7, i would even nap at work in my breaks lol.

It does get easier.

It's just pure exhaustion and it's good that you are finishing work soon. Having twins will bring the exhaustion on earlier. When I had a month to go of work I started doing half-days on Wednesdays (other half as sick leave) to spread out my sick leave but also help me get through to Thurs/Fri without collapsing. It made a huge difference.
