before the 20 week scan (if you did find out then) or before the birth and were right?

I knew from about 10 weeks that I was having a girl when pregnant with my first.

Hopefully find out in 6-8 weeks time if I am correct with this one

Yes, I was right both times.

Of course the cynical side of me points out that the odds are pretty good

With Emily I just "knew" she was a girl right from the beginning. I didn't have a preference.

This time I've got a feeling it's a boy. I would really like a little boy but would be just as happy with another girl.

I want a girl so badly that I can't really tell if my feelings of it being a girl are because thats what I want or thats what it is.

Strange for me as before I got PG I wanted a boy.

We ideally would have preferred boys, but from about 13-14w onwards I just knew they were girls, much as I hated to admit it (and how much DH hated me to say it...although now they're his little princesses). Sure enough, the anatomy scan and the scan today well and truly proved it - they're girls!

I thought boys both times and of course was wrong twice.

I really wanted girls too so maybe I was just preparing myself for the possibility for a boy. Im glad I was wrong, wouldn't change my girls for anything!

DH has been convinced from the moment I've confirmed the pregnancy that both our little ones are boys.

Then again he came to bed one night patted me on the tummy and said nite nite little baby kinda jokingly - neither of us knowing at the time that I was PG

I thought girl first time but only cos I didn't think I'd ever end up with a boy (didn't know what to do with them!). Got a boy.

This time, I don't know if its because I desperately wanted a girl (last baby) or what, but I just knew she was a girl. Even went out and bought clothes before the scan which I would never normally do as I'm such a cheapskate.

I got it right both times. I was way more sure with Jake though. This time I thought I may just be thinking this is a girl cos thats what I wanted, but it turned out to be a girl.

Our sonographer told us at 12wk scan that we had a higher chance of having a girl.

So thats kind of dominated my thoughts, but am prepared for the fact that she may have been wrong.

I don't have a "feeling" per se.

I was 99% convinced I was pregnant with a boy, but 20 week scan showed a girl so I was completely wrong.

I'm getting boy vibes again this time, but seeing how I was wrong last time I'm just as likely to be haveing another girl!

"Bumping"

I am totally sure I am having a boy - everyone I talk to thinks the same except for my mum, she is the only one that thinks a girl! So I will be very interested to see what it really is.... not long till I find out! I would like a girl simply so it will be a surprise to EVERYONE lol but really don't mind either way

I was right with my son. I just knew right from the start he was a boy. I have a feeling this one is a girl. We'll find out if I'm right in about 5 weeks.

I was absolutley convinced I was having a boy when I was pregnant with Sam. When they said she was a girl at the 20 wk scan I made them prove it. (This is more because my DH's family only ever has boys so I assumed that was all I was ever going to get). I never really had a strong feeling based on anything other than family history with her though.
This time I have been pretty sure the whole time it was a boy (I think I was secretly hoping too). So I was not at all surprised when they confirmed it for me last week.

I am hoping for a girl.
I heard a story saying that depending on the heartbeat speed you can tell if it's a boy or a girl.
Babies heart rate is 150 bpm and a few friends of ours say that means its a girl.

A few people who know us think we will have a boy cause thats what they picture us with.

I'm not really sure either way but I'll be happy with either.

I knew from the moment I found I was pregnant that I was having a girl and then when I had the 20 week scan they said looks like a girl but we cannot be sure and then I became unsure, but at the same time my instinct still said 100% a girl. I ended up having a lot of scans near the end due to gestational diabetes and they could never see as she had her foot wedged right there everytime.

I have a feeling that I will have 2 girls I don't know why it just feels like that will be the case. So when we have number 2 I think I again will convinced its a girl!

I have no idea, everyone around me thinks girl.

DPs workmates think girl just cos they know he's a lot more scared to have a girl then a boy.

I want a girl for the plain fact that we only have nephews at the moment and my brother is having a boy 7weeks behind me.

I had no idea with #1 (was still trying to get over the shock of BEING preg to have an inkling either way lol)

This time I was convinced it was a boy simply because DPs mum had only ever had boys, and Rorylex and I had only had boys... so I figured thats all we could have... so I got the shock of my life when sonographer pointed out at 19 week scan that she was clearly a girl (took all of 5 seconds to have it pointed out lol, and couple more scans afterwards confirmed it) Wouldnt change her for the world, she is most definitely a Daddy's girl lol!

I knew both times, and both times it was what I wanted .
Tho , with Ty , I really didn't care, i've always wanted a girl , and I got that with C , so I dont care if I never have another girl , i already have her .
If id had the boy first , i would probably have been more anxious for a girl second time round .

Ive always seen myself with 3 children , girl , boy ,girl , however, as I don't know if I ever want to give birth again ,i'll have to find someone to have the girl for me

I had a dream last night that i was having a girl, but i knew in my dream i was dreaming so kept telling myself not to get too excited cos it was just dream.........

When i woke up I felt sad cos i think i might be having another boy........and i badly wanted a girl to do all the things with her that no one did for me as a child, like girlie outings, shopping, make up, nails etc.......i was raised by my dad and his step wives, but his wives all had daughters of their own so werent interested in me, I was just a tag along and never really wanted.

We have chosen not to find out.. and with only 17 days until my due date.. im soooo super excited to find out !!!   its what will keep me motivated through the birth and have the most wonderful suprise.. after all there aint many good suprises in life !!!

I think the only benefit of knowing before hand is colour choice in clothing etc.. but really its a case of "as long as baby is healthy in mind and body" i couldnt care less !!!   I know DH has his fingers and toes crossed for a son.. but will be happy with a daughter all the same too...

I have absolutely no idea what im carrying.. although all my family and friends have really enjoyed the guessing game. !!

Aww Chickielou thats sad!! FX for a girl I'll come visit and we can do girlie things together k?!

I keep changing my mind about what I want this time round so I'm just getting real impatient and want the scan to find out lol still got a few weeks to go though. Theres no way I could not find out it'd drive me mad. I like having baby named asap and just getting everything sorted so I don't have to think about it.

Hehe funny how many people have been right! I was wrong though, was so sure I was having a boy (didn't mind either way though)! We were going to not find out the sex till baby was born, but changed our minds at the scan when the dr asked if we wanted to know, and we both yelled out YES! Haha, so we were surprised to be having a girl but so happy
