I bled for roughly 4 weeks, but I only used about 2 packets of maternity pads then went into normal pads with wings (so much more comfy) Don't get too many packets. You may find it different but in my situation it was only really heavy for the first 2-3 days to warrrant the big surfboard pads

i bled heaps after my delivary and then went through 3 packets of maternity pads. im now on normal stayfree super pads and the bleeding has eased heaps! i bought another 2 today anyway but only had a week or so of maternity pads. from what i have been told the bleeding lasts for 3 - 6 weeks in most cases

I hope you don't take after me... I was in maternity pads for 4 weeks, then super pads for two weeks, then medium pads for 1 week, then liners for another week

YOu don't want my answer then, but I was out of Mat pads into super realitively quickly.
Just used budget brand & they were ok, I hate wasting money on throw away things.
Love the ?? flexible liners though.

I was using the thick budget pads for a week and then went onto Libra goodnights with wings for ages, and then eventually just normal super pads.
My bleeding had just about gone at 7 weeks when I got my first period at a wedding in Dargaville and had to wear one of my ex partners dead grandfathers adult incontinence nappies because the bleeding was horrendous! The thickest pads in the world wouldn't have helped with that.

I was in super pads from the time I got home from the hospital (2 days post-birth).

I used maternity pads for 2 weeks, then went on to medium pads for 2 weeks, than liners for another 2 weeks or so. It wasn't that I was bleeding that heavily the first two weeks, but I was so bruised, the thick maternity pads helped to cushion it a bit IYKWIM.

I agree with Ella, I used the free maternity pads at the hospital for a week, mainly because they were great padding (I had a couple of stitches) and they were available! I was stuck in hospital for 8 days because my son had bad jaundice.
My bleeding was finished by 3 and 1/2 weeks, but I lost a bit of blood at delivery which may have affected this.

My bleeding is well and truly finished now (3.5 weeks), and I used the hospital pads and then mega maternity ones for about 3 weeks, mainly for the extra padding as I was full of stitches.
