Ok so this is really bothering me cos I am not sure if something is wrong with me and I should be worried or if it is normal and you are the only people I can ask so here goes:
So, AF arrived on Sunday and kinda started calming down on Tuesday but seemed to look like (and this is the gross part) it was a bit brown (this only started on Tuesday) and since then, it has stopped but yesterday and today, there is only this brown - like a brown discharge (I know that sounds gross and I am so sorry if you read this despite the subject heading) Has this happened to anyone else? well.... I tend to have a heavy period on day 1, then light day 2 and 3 and day 4 is like a brownish colour and really light, I would liken it to it being like old lining if that makes any sense. It usually only lasts the 1 day though ------------- ">

| i got that when i came off the pill, i think it was just my body getting rid of excess gunk up there. i don't think it is in any way harmful, it is just a clear out. |

Hasn't happened to me, but I've heard of it happening to lots of women who are trying for a baby, and from what I've heard, is nothing to panic about... wait and see if it arrives next month - maybe not?!? PS: that's not TMI - no need to apologise, especially with a disclaimer like that for a title! ------------- Andie |

Sounds fairly normal to me too, what the brown color usually indicates is that the blood is a bit 'older', so I would agree with perhaps your body is clearing out a bit of old tissue or something like that. No hadn't been on the pill - on depo and this is my third AF since coming off and the first time it has happened so thats why I was worried but thanks everyone - feel better now and will def go and get it checked out if it doesn't clear up  ------------- http://lilypie.com"> http://lilypie.com">

I came off the depo in Jan (that was my last booked appt and I missed it on purpose) and about a month ago I got this yucky brown discharge for a day, nothing before and nothing since... maybe as the other girls said it could be old lining / blood?! ------------- http://www.snugglepie.com">

I had a very weird period like that and then figured out a month later when AF hadn't arrived that I was pregnant.
I figure it was implantation bleeding. Here's hoping huh? |

| just be prepared that it might not show up yet, it still may be too early. I think my last period was implantation bleeding (well, will know for sure on wed!) i tested a couple of days after it and it was neg, then i tested 3 days before af was due and got bfp. So test tomorrow, but wait another 2 weeks and test again, if it is neg that is. good luck! |

| Yeh i would recommend doing a pregnancy test and seeing what happens. Do you chart? Do you have a link to a chart we can look at? Just wanna know what your temps were or are through this mystery period. |
