Hey there I'm hoping someone can help/reassure me.
We've always had a bit of trouble breastfeeding my 7 month old. Currently she has a bottle in the afternoon to give me a break. Her first feed in the morning goes really well but the last few days the other breastfeeds have been a complete battle. She won't latch and when she does she often won't suck long enough for a let down. Part of me worries it could be my supply but there is no reason I can think of that it would have been effected lately. She is on solids three times a day and has heaps of them, so aprt of me thinks "well maybe she's just more interested in solids now"- but then I worry because on my plunket sheet it says that breastmilk is still the most important food and should be offered first. Am i just worrying too much? Should I keep pushing the breastfeeds, or just offer and not worry if she refuses? TIA  ------------- http://lilypie.com">

Could you drop the afternoon bottle feeds just for a few days? And wait until she is quite hungry before offering the breast (not too upset about it though). She may just be getting used to the bottle giving her milk straight away without having to wait for a let down. Also she may be drinking less since she's eating more??
And (I know you have probably heard this a million times) make sure you are nice and relaxed, even if you have to go to bed with her to feed for a few days. The more tense you are, the longer the letdown will take. Happy 7 month Birthday Charli-Rose  -------------

Yeah same thing happened with Jack, and I made the mistake of just expressing and giving him a bottle, and now he wont go back! So keep at it! Good luck
