hi everyone,
I just have a question about evaporation lines....i did a test at 3am this morning and within 2 or 3 minutes a second line (very faint) started appearing, and is still there now. its the same colour as the control line. i then got up at 8am and did another test and the test is definatly negative, so it made me wonder if the first test line is an evap? i dont even know what made me test we are not trying but not preventing, i am breast feeding and have had no period since having my baby last year so got know idea what is going on lol. so just wondering if anyone has had the same or similar thing happen and what was the outcome? Thanks in advance for your help

That sounds like a positive to me - if it came up within 2-3 mins and is the same colour as control I don't think it's an evap line.
Your 3am urine was probably more concentrated than the 8am so that could explain why the second test was a negative. Congrats  ------------- http://lilypie.com">

Sounds like a BFP to me too, congrats !
evap lines show up after the time frame given on the pack and are greyish -clear in colour . -------------

yea i agree with the theory that the first pee was probably more concentrated. do another one first thing 2mrw morning before you have had anything to eat or drink but i would probably be saying congrats :) -------------

Evap lines are not to be trusted my friend- I think it sounds like a BFP!!
Try a Discover One test.... in a day or so to make sure if you arent sure. I had a funny result first time round- long story- it was quite funny really as DP was the one who pulled it out of the bin and said- somethings up honey! lol keep us posted!!!! -------------

I think that is a BFP. With the second test it might be that your body didnt have enough time to give off the hormones that makes it positive as you already did urinate earlier and it might be real early in your pregnancy.

It sounds like bfp to me as well, evap lines only show up once the test has dried, hence it being an evap line. If your line came up within 2-3 mins then its detected hcg in your pee.
With this pregnancy, I got a FAINT as line at night and a bfn in the morning with first morning pee so i did another brand of test with second morning pee and got a clear bfp.------------- |

Thanks for all your replies so it might be positive then...with my son i got a super faint second line then each test i did the same day (hahaha) the line was still definatly there, i would of thought each pregnancy HCG would be sort of the same as the last (if that makes any sense lol) the line this time is super faint tho but even DH saw it so it must be there lol
I'll test again in a couple of days if not tomorrow and see what happens
