I love feijoa's with a passion. I eat tons of them every season but it has occured to me that since I've started eating them by the truck load my son has been very spilly and runny poo's too. COuld it be the feijoa's I'm eating?
Please let the answer be no. If it is will he get used to it or will I have to stop eating them?

It could be - their acidity could be causing the spilliness, and their fibrous texture could be causing the runny poo's ... I'm no expert, but if the symptoms hadn't been happening before the feijoas, it sounds highly likely.

Everything in moderation!

I feijoas too - what stops me from eating them by the truckload is that they're $10 a kilo down here (last year, when pregnant, I was living in Hawkes Bay and I almost lived on them!)

Ooooh I miss feijoa's sooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!!

When I was pregnant I paid £2.50 for a single feijoa at a kiwi restaurant, they had lots of deserts with feijoa in that the kiwi chef had flown in especially and I asked for a single whole fruit not realising how ££ it would be - thats like $6 for ONE - it was so yum I sure did savour it at that price.

I even kept the skins in the kitchen for a day or so just so I could take a deep sniff at will.

Then they got manky and I had to say good bye.

Anyhow, I dare say they will be upsetting bubs if you are eating them in such a quantity, you'll have to do some preserving so you can enjoy them later in the year!

I am soooo jealous Sarah!

KK, it sounds like that was two and a half pounds well spent, even if it did seem like a lot! I'll think of you next time I pay something ridiculous for a bag (when I used to get bags and bags of them free!)
