I came across a bakery in Perth selling banana scones a couple of months ago.
This got me thinking, what else could be added to scone dough to mix it up a bit?
I have only really ever seen date, sultana, cheese and plain ones previously..

I used to make yummy vege scones. Just add a cup of cooked veges like brocolli, spinach, carrot etc to the mix along with a little bit of cheese and they are a yummy healthy treat.
As a sideline, with having a dairy intolerant child, I have found you can make the most delicous scones using Olivani and lemonade. They are really fluffy and light because of the lemonade and everyone loves them
