AF arrived last week! I had been on Depo for over 2 years so quite excited now :)

It was weird before as we were trying but kinda knew it wouldn't really work but now its all real!

We might stop trying for a bit though as we are going on a delayed honeymoon overseas for 5 weeks and I don't wanna risk having morning sickness etc or not being able to do fun stuff like drink and theme parks hehe :)

Baileyandastin 2 years wow thats a long time... i thought two months was a long time when i came off.....how long did it take to concieve totally after coming off depo?

Mari83 how long have you been waiting for AF? mine took 2months then i got very irregular cycles for about 6months........Ive been ttc for 15months, so i reckon i have lived out that whole 12months average that depo takes so my time shouldnt be far away..............although technically i did get BFP a couple of weeks ago but it didnt stick.........its so close now i can almost touch it so i should make the most of not being preg cos it wont be long now

My last injection ran out in November last year so about 4 months for AF to arrive.

Oh, that's interesting. Still might have a while yet. Good Luck Chickielou !

Hi Mari!
I'm the same as you, injection ran out beginning of November last year, and I got my AF on the 4th March, so four months.
From what I've heard women can get their BFP straight away when they get their AF, or sometimes af comes but no ovulation.
My next AF would be due next week so I have my fingers crossed it arrives, I've had lots of ovulation type pains last week which I guess is a good sign, and I got a progesterone test yesterday.

Let me know how you go!

It took us 15 months of TTC to concieve Astin i got pregnant before AF had come back! but lost baby within a week or so and specialist said it was because there was too much build up and i needed at least 2 cycles, if i can remember rightly (probably not with baby brain! lol) i got pregnant with Astin the cycle after AF came back........needless to say i will NOT be going back on depo for many reasons!

I got really bad cramps when AF first started and I've never really had it like that before (or its just so long ao that I can't remember!) so I think it might have been ovulation?

were those pains about 14 days before your af arrived? Cos you OV roughly about 14 days before you get your AF

We all get lots of aches and pains in that region and alot seem so random, its best to keep a diary of pains and wat cycle day you are etc so you can see if they are the same the next month around........
Although i say that i have never actually gotten around to doing that so each month i find myself racking my brain on those pains again and again.......lol

The pains were on the day and day after AF arrived.

Thanks, good advice. All new to this so its good to know. Like I said before it's been a while and I have never been one to get bad cramps or anything so will have to take more notice :)

YES!!!!!! I got my blood test results back and I"m normal!!!!!

B12 499 (range 170 - 800)
Serum folate 40.2 (range 9 - 45)
Progesterone 15 (above 10)

In April I would have been off the depo for 5 months, I've had two cycles and I'm definetly ovulating.
Even the B12 and folate results are exciting because I've been a vegeterian for almost 17 years.
