Hey all. I go back to work in two weeks time so we tried to offer Iliana a bottle of formula for her third feed today and she flat out refused it. Wouldn't have a bar of it. Screamed and everything. DH did the offering and I was WAAAYYYY outside.
When we did the same with Noah he took to the bottle without any problems so I am not sure what to try next. Do we just keep trying every day? How long before we give in and I just give her the breast instead? What if she never takes a bottle? I am going to work and won't be able to keep up the breastfeeding - ARGH - starting to get worried. Any advice? ------------- http://lilypie.com">  http://lilypie.com">

| It may be the taste that put her off. Did you try mixing bm in with the formula. When I weaned Dom on to formula I had to start with a 2/3 bm 1/3 formula mix and slowly change the ratio of bm and formula until it was all formula. Also some babies are very fussy about the type of teat they will accept. |

Have you tried changing the teat?
I tried Arianne on the no.3 Avent teat and she didnt like it one bit and went back to no.2 teat and she drank it. She has one bottle feed a day. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

I tried again to feed her today. I read up a bit on the net and used some of the advice and it went perfectly! She downed 250mls no probs. My little star. Was a little sad but so relieved that she took the bottle. Now have to make sure that she will take it from someone other than me   ------------- http://lilypie.com"> http://lilypie.com">
