For me, I'm bloated for the week leading up to AF, which is about where you are in your cycle. So I'd say it's normal.
I'm not sure what foods can combat bloating, sorry!

I read that your body bloats in preperation for concieving..........it retains water etc for the uterus.........but if conception doesnt take hold then you basically pee it out
I always get bloated around OV time
Some people see natropaths to get diets that help with different PMT symptons

I'd recommend you keep a food diary. You could be intolerant to a certain food group. I used to bloat up a lot more than I do now 5 years ago. I cut gluten out of my diet and now i'm fine. Lactose intolerance can also commonly cause bloating. As the others said it can also be due to your cycles as well. To make bloating go away quickly avoid carbs.

Apparently dandelion tea can help with the bloating/water retention that occurs around AF. I get really bloated before AF. Gets a bit depressing when you can look great for 2-3 weeks of cycle and then get all bloated and feel horrible for the other week or so.
