Hey,

I am currently TTC #2. My 1st Alex is 11months, I didn't find the birth that difficult but ended up with a 3rd Degree Tear (off to hospital by ambulance, a spinal and who knows how many stitches later) am now trying for our second. Obviously being the organised person that I am I have been doing some research on whether to go for another vaginal birth or opt for an elective c-section? All my research has well been very conflicting to say the least. So was just wondering if there was anyone else out there who has been through this or has any advice?

Would love to hear from you.

Bex

Hiya Bex, I remembered discussing this a little while ago (my situation was pretty much identical to yours) so had a quick search and these threads might be helpful

Hi
Thanks for that, those threads sure are interesting. Such a muddle.lol I guess it just depends on the individual. The funny thing it that I loved my birth, all natural and didn't really notice any pain at the time. Although after spending 2 hours in surgery getting stitched up and although the surgeon wouldn't tell me exactly how many stitches she let me do the maths (TMI - but about 60). I don't know that I would want to go through that again. But then a c-section also sounds scary. hmmmm
