I've done a search on this, and haven't found anything so hoping you guys can help!

For the last few weeks I've had really bad lower back pain, which I think might be the pressure on my sciatic nerve. Anyway, can deal with it (just) through a combination of stretches, heat pack and panadol.

BUT, the last few days have been getting even worse pain higher up, on my right side. Started when sitting in car, but now have it constantly when I sit up... The weird thing is, I have a corresponding pain on my front, under my right boob and on the ribs, if it makes sense? NOTHING fixes it, and its driving me nuts, I can't spend all my time lying down!

Any thoughts? TIA

It could be your baby kicking in the "wrong" place. My boss told me that with her DD the baby kicked her all the time in the kidney (which is where you descibe the pain in your back). She wouldn't stop either and there was nothing that could be done.

If you are worried menton it to your dr or mw.

I have a constant pain on my left side - started off on my left butt, then seems to travel down the entire lower left side some days. (Leftside of my pubic area, back of my left thighs etc).

Went for a massage at BellaMama - pain instantly gone! She's awesome I can't recommend her enough. I also tried accupuncture but it didn't help me. The massage did.

Won't take away all the pain, but I have found that sleeping with a V pillow between my legs really helps.... plus you get so much more room in the bed!!

I had thoracic back pain, transferring around to the front (under my boob) at around the bra level for about 10 weeks during my 2/3 trimesters (really bad constant pain - was horrible!) I ended up having weekly osteopathy which really helped - the weight of both growing baby and my boobs put heaps of pressure on the vertebrae in my back, and this caused the joint between ribs and the spine to misalign. It ended up resolving on it's own when DD dropped (thank goodness!) at around 34-36 weeks.

I had some physio too, which wasn't as helpful but it was free at the local maternity unit at the hospital (as long as I was referred by my MW).

Hopefully you can get some resolution, I know how draining the constant pain can be!
