I'm just wondering....what kind of discharge is normal?? I mostly have creamy discharge that reminds me of thrush (no other symptoms of thrush though)...but there have been a couple of times over the last few weeks where it's been more snot like and a bit green...just one lot of discharge (thick snotty like substance) and then nothing else. Is this normal?

No it's not normal. My midwife said to watch out for green discharge - i think you should go and see a doctor or a midwife (preferably a doctor) as soon as you can.

I think it is normal for some mums. The green is a bit of a concern but if you have a cold or some other virus at the moment that's probably the reason for it. If you don't have anything viral, perhaps call your mw - if you are under a dr I'd call tomorrow.

I'm in the grey area - not under MW care anymore, but don't see my OB for the first time until next week. I don't have any cold or virus at the moment. Is it urgent enough that I need to go to an After Hours or the hospital??

I'd go straight to the doc chic It may be nothing but there are sooooo many risks involved with twins I wouldn't take the risk.

Yeah definitely don't take the risk. I know that green discharge is not good and something the MW said to me to watch out for. So yes, I think you should go to the Dr.

I had green snot stuff with Caden and Ive had it with this one, a lot of women get that and it is normal. My MW told me its all normal and to only worry when it smells yucky or you have blood etc.

You can get checked by your doc if you are worried but it really is just one of those icky pregnancy things. If its REALLY green, it could be an infection though.

Kate- I've had that sort of discharge once (ironically the month I fell pg!) and it *was* an infection. Nothing that antibiotics didn't clear up but yeah I would go straight to the Dr if only for your peace of mind

Kate I know what you mean. Ive had both, mainly the white creamy kind. But I have had the odd bits of lightly coloured green, which TBH I havent really worried about and so far so good.

If you are worried then I'd have it checked out hun.

Well I went to the after hours, who told me off because they don't have the equipment to check the bubs and to go to A&E, so I did and they checked everything. The bubs look fine, bloods were fine but I have to go back for a scan tomorrow to check my ovaries, which is where the pain is. So not an infection that they can see, but double checking. One bubs was booting the heck out of me and the other was asleep with hiccups

Fantastic - amazing - awesome LOL Am so glad it's over though, now we can get on with life as a married couple. I had to take off my engagement ring today though because my fingers have swelled up

I'm so glad you got everything checked out and so far so good. So cute about your little babies...

I had a threatened miscarriage with bleeding etc. just a few days ago - had a nightmare experience at the hospital... but that is a long story. Was great to see my first scan of our baby... and his/her little heartbeat.
