Im new on this forum but just wanting some advice about my 10wk old Daughter.
She has started dribbling alot and using her hands to try chew on She is also starting to bite down on my nipple alot.
At what age could she start teething and if not teething does anyone else know what this could be?

Hi I can't really help but my DD started doing the same thing at approx 10 weeks old, and is still doing it now at 3 months.

The dribbling starts at about the same time they start to put things in their mouth - like a defense mechanism against all the nasties that get into their mouths I do know my DD did the same thing, and didn't get teeth until 5 1/2 months. I would say it's a developmental stage (i.e. saliva glands maturing and your DD figuring out she can bite on things etc).

My son started that at the same age and got teeth at almost 4months. I just thought it was teething. I discouraged the biting down on my boobs by taking him off as soon as he did it - waiting 20secs and then puting him back on to finish the feed. It seemed to work. Now he has 4bottom teeth and sometimes bites - his top teeth are coming through and im not looking forward to when he can actually connect teeth together with my nipple in the middle (OUCH!!!). I wouldn't worry too much hun. All the best

It's also a sign that she has found her hands, which is neat. The nipple biting can be related to your milk settling down and her being impatient. I found the BF harder between 2 and 6 weeks then it was to start with.

Sounds like her saliva has just come 'in', it will settle down soon.
