I'm a bit worried as I'm just about 30 weeks pg now and the last few weeks in paticular have had a very wriggly baby in there lol. The last 24 hours or so though, I've noticed her movements are not as frequent and not at the same times she normally move (ie late at night, when I wake up in the middle of the night, first thing in the morning etc. If I prod my belly enough I get a kick, and I have been so knackered the lst couple of days I slept right through last night so it's possible she was kicking and I didn't feel it! I'm just concerned that maybe somethings wrong. I know as bubs gets bigger there's less room and of course I guess they sleep as well but is it normal to have days like this where the pattern is quite different than usual? Or is it possible she's turned and is now kicking me inwards? Babys wiggle in all sorts of ways, Caden turned breech at 33 weeks lol. His movements towards the end got very wiggly, he would go NUTS in there.
Their movemnts are never going to be the same everyday and they change as they start getting bigger. You would need to be worried if you felt nothing hun 
ETA-As long as you are getting 10 movemnts a day it should be fine. ------------- |

same thing happened to me.. ! and he turned out fine...she just said to monitor movements which was hard when he just stopped but i ended up doing the cold drink and lying on my side thing and he moved but not as much as before ..got monitored once for it too...
as you obviously are..just best to check with mw! ------------- Mum to two amazing boys! |

Thanks guys. It's just so weird after having her sowriggly I'm wondering if she's got herself into a weird spot where I'm simply not feeling her kicks IYKWIM? I don't like to keep prodding my tummy just to mke her move. Or wake her up if she's sleeping I tried the cold water thing but it wasn't that successful so maybe I'll try again later. So if mw hears her heartbeat ok on the doppler will that be enough do you think? Or will I have to be monitored? ------------- http://lilypie.com" rel="nofollow">

Your MW will probably have a feel and listen to her hearbeat, Im sure she is all ok, some babys have quiet patches.
If your MW is at all concerned they will put on on a ctg machine to moniter her for a hour or so. ------------- |

Yes it sounds normal. They start getting bigger and as the amnio fluid diminishes we can feel them more too. They go through stages of facing front/back and it makes all the difference for movement. -------------  |

| I had to be monitored at 36ish weeks cause I wasn't getting 10 movements a day... but when hooked up tot hte ctg it was obvious that he was moving I just couldn't feel it. MW said my placenta was probably baring the brunt of the movements so I just didn't know it was happening |

Hi all Thanks again for the reassurances- I'm back from the mw and she said pretty much the same thing as you lot lol. We heard bubbas heartbeat clearly on the doppler, and although the mw couldn't figure out which was she was lying, it seems that shes moved a bit and is either bum down at the mo or facing my spine and kicking in. MW also said was totally normal for them to have quiet patches but def to call her if I was getting fewer than 10 kicks in a 24 hour period. Anyway, she also gave me a form for anther scan-yippee!- to check for growth and see what way bubba is lying. Good news chick!
This one did that about 28 weeks, cheeky monkey... its a bit scarey. Definately go through quiet patches.. I reckon bubs is having a growth spurt then. -------------
