Not the same situation but I have just put $800 worth of stuff on layby and was not aloud to use my card either am aware they have a sign saying this but think this is a little unfair. We only went there for this purchase to use the card for the points but dont think ill bother going back as it takes forever to get any service.

Yea I read the terms and conditions and it doesnt mention that if you get a discount you cant use the card, the area manager is ringing me on Monday! My service was C%@p also until they realised I had money to spend! What Baby City did you go to?

I spent about $1200 last week and used the 10% disc voucher from the treasures magazine in the ReachMe pack - I got the 10% off and points went on my card - this might have been a mistake and I wasn't expecting it too - but I wasn't going to say anything! I ended up with $60 of vouchers for next time.

I have to say at times the service has been rubbish - luckily i had done research and knew exactly what I wanted. I had a really good experience at Baby Factory - but they dont sell touchwood or Phil and teds. I did get my Angelcare monitor there though.

The one in Henderson is good. I used the voucher from when they started bubclub .. so got 20% discount and points.

The next time I used the 10% voucher from the bounty book and also got points.

I did read somewhere that you couldnt get the points if you laybuy your purchase though, in the terms and conditions I think.

I went to the one in Albany, I also normally only go to the baby factory because there service is fantastic, but had to go there for the bertini pram my DH wanted . we also had the 20% voucher for joining and because it was going to expire the girl said just to put it on layby and put the points for it onto our card. So just a little miffed today that it had changed

The area manager is ringing me on monday so I will see what happens, I would be getting $60 of vouchers which is much needed after just spending what I did!! Shouldnt really matter what discount of layby we are still spening money there!

I spent about a grand there a few months ago when they had flybys which was why I went there (and for Phil and teds stuff). I put it on layby then they stopped taking flybys points a week before I paid off the layby (only one month) so they said I couldn't get the points as you only get them on sale completion. I had to go and pick it up early before payday to get the points.

I agree, service is pretty crap although the ladies I had yesterday and the day before (returning stuff) were lovely. It's almost like some of the branches treat you like crap cause they know you can only get some of those brands there. Baby Factory are nicer to deal with but they don't have the gear that i'm after half the time.

Baby factory also ticked me off. Parents Center had a voucher for 12.5% off valid for one day only so I did a shop of about $800 only to find out they started a 20% off sale two days later. That did not impress me very much.
