Hi,
Wombat's heart rate has gone from 159 in 9 week scan to 136 in 13 week scan. It seemed like quite a decrease to me so am now panicking! Is this too low??
Thanks

I wouldn't worry at all, that's not far off an average heart rate (old wives tale for you - 140ish for a boy, up around 160 for a girl)

I'm sure your midwife would say if it was a worry. Tbh I've never paid any attention at all to what bubs heart rate is - wouldn't have a clue! When midwife listens to it and says it's fine I trust her.

'Normal' is anywhere from around 120-170 but the important thing is the 'reactivity' - that it fluctuates slightly with movement etc. It's usual for the heart rate to be significantly faster in early pregnancy and then slow as the pregnancy progresses.

That's exactly what I was thinking.
I spent a week in hospital with the girls heart rates being monitored. They varied a huge amount
