Hi,

I am quite new to forum and pregnancy...just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for midwives in Auckland (central) as I am not sure where to start?! Am thinking of possibly Birthcare

Have searched a fair few pages on the form but with not much luck..it might well be me doing it wrong...

Any ideas appreciated

Bless,

On the birthcare website, they list the people who have access to their birthing facilities.

My midwife does and she is based in Glen Innes (I travel to her as she was reccommended and its hard to find a good midwife!), her name is Yvonne Daji and she is based at Pregnancy Care Midwives.

Have a happy and healthy nine months. Oh and you probably want to get onto a midwife quick! There is a shortage of them.

I am using the birthcare team and so far they have been very good. We are very fussy and want a natural birth and they have been understanding about this AND I had to call one of them at 3.30am this morning due to bad pains and that was no problem!
Good luck with your pregnancy!

Hi - I used the Midwives Collective in Balmoral, specifically Stephanie Vague - but the whole team there is really good.

I agree with LilFatty though - get onto it pronto - its really hard to get a good mw in central auckland!!

It looks like they have changed their website, they used to have a list of MWs that were affiliated with them. Most central Akld mws will be cool with Birthcare though!

I am using the Birthcare team too and they are lovely.
You could try contacting mama maternity, they send you out a list of midwives and all sorts of other info about pregnancy as well
