Woohoo! First topic post.
Hi all,
My boy seems to be extremely active and I'm feeling him every hour to hour and half. Not just moving but kicks and jabs.
The thing I'm wondering is how often should I be feeling bubs move? Shouldn't he be getting more rest?
Perhaps he just really uncoordinated and where other babies move daintily around in mums tummy, he is banging and crashing into everything.
Any responses/idea's welcome.....

My baby is also very active seems to be always on the go i'm thinking that she must be moving while shes asleep don't know if she will ever slow down. But its reasurring to feel her constantly.
I still get the real big and sometimes painful movement as well as sharp pokes.

Hi, It is normal for bubs to be very active, dont worry to much as it's a very good sign if bubs is moving around heaps....You may find closer to your EDD bubs will settle down alot but as long as you feel at least 10 movements bubs is fine.....Enjoy it now coz once baby is here you'll miss the movements....

Me too! Mine is super active - I've been feeling it since 15 weeks, and its noticeably stronger in the last 2 weeks.
They say you should feel at least 10 movements over 12 hours (or something like that) - I get a minimum of 10 kicks in around 20-30 minutes!
It's crazy watching it thrash around when I'm lying still - bum and elbows and head making waves over my belly. I do really enjoy it though. And thankfully it hasn't woken me up during the night.....yet...

lol, oh my god Caden was the most wriggly baby ever!! He never stopped moving I swear! By 40 weeks I was very over it cos I coldnt get comfy. He was VERY active at night time.
The 10 kicks a day thing, well Caden would kick me about 10 times in 10 mins lol!!
But, though he is a wriggly baby even now, he is a great sleeper!!

Caitlyn never stopped moving, the day I went into labour she was wriggling away , she moved at night (as most babies do , due to their "circadian rhythm" ) but me walking didnt calm her down , everyone that put their hand on my stomach got it kicked, unlike this little guy who will kick for me , then stop .
Caitlyn was sleeping though the night from about 6 weeks .

My little one is extremely active too! Sometimes he'll 'sleep' for a while, but much more normal to feel him squirming or stretching (at this stage). Although he 'sleeps' most of the night, only a bit squirmy when I have to roll over, so I'm hoping that's a sign of things to come, once he's born!!

LOL, my baby is lazy like me.
Earlier on I would get bursts of activity but these days all i really get is shoved in the ribs when I have been sitting down to long, am constipated and/or am eating! I get told in no uncertain terms to give the monkey some more room.
I also end up with a huge ball under my rib on the right side and a flat bump, this kid likes SPACE!
I do get the occasional burst of activity but I think the feet are hiding behind the placenta now so its being cushioned. Get the river dance feeling when I lay on my left side at night though.. thats my favourite time of the day
