Last week when I saw my midwife my blood pressure was higher than she liked (outside my normal range apparently), combined with swelling (feet/hands) and headache/nausea she wasn't very happy and was making noises about having me into hospital for monitoring. Decided on consultation with the ob at the hospital that they wouldn't bring me in but I need to keep a close eye on myself and let her know asap if anything gets worse. I see her next on Tuesday.

ANYWAY my question is (and I don't want to ring my midwife just to ask her this) - I've been aqua jogging twice a week until now - is it still ok to keep going? I'm pretty sure it won't have any negative effect on my blood pressure or swelling or anything (might even make it better!) but thought I'd check on here and some wonderful person is bound to know!

Thanks!

Did she tell you to rest? Given your so close now and how quickly you can develop pre-eclampsia I just dont think I would be risking it hun.

But I am sure one of the wise ones who have actually been there will be more insightful....

Hope everything stays fine.

aqua jogging wont really do much..............its low impact...........just take it easy and if you start feeling out of breath then slow down............

Ah maybe I'll flag then. I was thinking I'd definitely want to if it was another day like yesterday (37 degrees!!) but it's much cooler today so I can handle just lying on the couch all afternoon instead
