Hi Guys,
I had to take me wedding rings off the other day as the swelling was making them too tight and I was worried about having to have them cut off.
My Dad gave me the best trick as my mum and sister had the same problem with they were preggers. He did it to them both and it worked a treat.
Get a longish piece of string (not that flat twine stuff). Rub soap/dishwashing liquid around the finger and under the rings. Hold the end of the string on the tip of the finger and wind tightly around the finger with no gaps until you get all the way down to the rings. Basically pushing all the blood out of the finger.
The next part helps if you have a second person. So, grip the rings and get the other person to very quickly pull the string off. Quickly slip the rings off before all the blood rushes back into the finger.
It doesn't feel very nice and you don't want that string on for long but it works and you don't damage your rings or your finger!
Gotta love dads :)

I wish I'd thought of that a couple of weeks ago - I damn near pulled my finger off trying to get my rings off!

Ice waters a good idea. I think Dad did this as a last ditch attempt with mum as her finger was changing colour and they had to come off right there and then.
