I got a significant contribution to my new boot fund for my birthday from DH and out I went shopping the other day and have found and bought the most beautiful, funky, stylish and comfortable boots in the whole entire universe. I am wearing them today - don't you love a new shoe day!! Especially if they are gorjus boots!! Yay!!
Anyone else buying new boots this winter? What kind are you going to get?

I guess I should describe mine.
They are a kind of really dark aubergine colour and sometimes look almost dark chocolate brown. They have three buckles going up the sides and have quite squarish-roundish toes with a little chunky heel that is wooden and are about mid calf length. I got them at Mischief and absolutely love them!! I even bought a new skirt to wear with them today

I found my boots last year and I love them. They are the only ones I have found that will go over my chubby calves. They are plain black and go up to mid calf. I love them!

I am a boot junkie. I have a pair of ankle boots in a dark red crocodile skin type pattern with pointy toes, and high pointy heals, a similar pair of boots as this in black again with pointy toes, a pair of black calf high boots with chunky heals, with white stiching, and because I like those so much - an identical pair in brown!
My office is now at an engineering workshop that is muddy around it, so my latest purchase is a pair of flat black calf high boots that are soooo comfy and great for everyday wear.
I think I have a problem...

No Lulu - that is not a problem at all
Your boots sound soooooo beautiful and I can totally understand getting the same pairs in different colours!!

OOOH I got donated some cash to my winter boot fund on tuesday, I had a loverly pair of black, square toe mid calf length flats on laybuy, so I was able to pay them off (and laybuy some more pointy high heely shoes with big silver thingy on them, hideously expensive at *whispers* $250.
Leish, sounds like a pair I almost bought, I LOVED them... Needed black and practical for work, though... I LOVE SHOES!! (Especially unpractical high pointys....)

I spend $399 on my winter boots, which for me is pretty shocking, had to put them on layby annnnd max the credit card. They are FCUK and chocolate brown and they are my super favourite things in the world.
...however I ALSO am eyeing up some Diana Ferrari nice flat winter boots...
I think I'm allowed to buy 2 pairs if one is heels and the other flat, right?...

Oh yes most definately shophie!! The FCUK sound really nice - I love chocolate brown!!
Jacobsmama - I have decided to change my work wardrobe so can get away with these slightly less dressy boots but still pretty easy to dress up as well. I love them. I used the rest of my boot fund to put some really nice round toe medium heel shoes at shoe connection on layby -I love layby!! It's brilliant esp when something is over say $100, I always pay enough of a deposit so that the balance is under $100 cos it just seems easier to pay something off if it is under $100 or $200 or $300!! Shoes are beautiful but I think my even bigger passion are bags - I have so many of those...

Mmmmmm nothing like a good bag. I think I have about 12 at the moment and have my eye on a nice winter one at Colorado. I sold one on trade me recently which I had used for about two years (nearly every day cos I loved it so much). I had bought it on sale for $45 (down from $90) and it sold on trade me for $36!! Shocking good deal for me!!

< language=> >I love boots too!! they are so slimming but unfortunitly I can't wear high heel boots as I have a very weak left ankle that cant cope!!! so I always look longingly at those ones. There arent too many flat ones around but last year I got a good score of a caramel brown pair with pointy toes and a small heel (DH calls them my witchy boots ) from Number one Shoe Warehouse. Speaking of which I saw some georgous ones there last weekend & now we have sold the house I will we off there at the first chance possilbe to buy me a pair or two. Even better at the moment they have the second pair half price of the first. Unforunitly DH would literally have kittens if I spent over $100 on a pair

I need some boots for this winter too! Have been looking when I (rarely) go to the shops. I don't do heels either so need something flat but not as much choice.

I am like you Binka, my ankle is terrible and it hates my heals, but I decided, stuff the ankle I am going to wear my heals weather it likes it or not. I say it is worth the pain, hubby doesn't think it is worth the complaining I do when I treally hurts
