Woke up about half an hour ago, been having strong period like pains and bub is still moving around, havent had a good chance to time them yet.

sounds like it could be the start of something ,good luck , if your able to sleep try to get some rest !
and dont worry bout baby moving, my friends baby was moving and she was well into active labour . have you tried having a bath to see if they lessen or stop ? start timing them (just grab a pen and paper) and perhaps ring your mw to give her a headsup exciting !goodluck ! -------------

LOL now I laugh when they say get rest its quite hard to, I have left DH in bed for him to sleep.
I will start timing them and once they get to 3 mins and 45 secs long or really painfull then I ring the MW. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

I have had the show, and the contractions are around 5 - 8 mins apart but lasting really long approx 40 sec+.. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

i remember during my labour, my contractions at the start were 5-8 mins apart and lasting ages- quite intense too i think i was a freak though cause they went to 3-5 mins and didnt seem as intense lol. all the best xoxo |

Thanks everyone, sorry I havent been on earlier, I ended up in hospital not long after posting, but everything slowed down.
I had my waters broken at 2pm and there was meconium in there, so baby had to be monitored and started pushing at 8pm and she was here at 8.25. I was a mess after, but everything is good now, DH and bub are having quailty time together. Happy New Year! ------------- http://lilypie.com">
