When your second was born?

Mikey's pretty much done all the textbook reactions. his toilet training went completely backwards for about a week, hes started being very defiant and arguing about every little thing and he's only just started showing an interest in maia.
i'm trying to do what the books say and get him involved with maia's care but he just doesn't want know, he did enjoy burping her but that novelty's worn off now.

Leah was really good, we got her involved with all the MW visits etc so she was really excited about Joel when he finally got here.

We only had a couple of thinhs like waiting till I was feeding and climbing on the table and spreading talc and baby lotion all over the table and herself cos she knew I wouldn't take him off the boob to get her!

Awww congrats Ella Maia is so cute.

Maybe just keep up keeping him involved and make sure you and DP spend plenty of one on one with Mikey. He will eventually realise Maia is there to stay.

we had/have no problems with Lachie. We had him invoved from the start with mw visits also and he was really looking forward to her arrival, he even got my sick bucket for me in the mornings for the first 17 weeks! We made sure that we put him first sometimes like when he needed lunch and Sophia cried at the same time to be fed, we fed him first cause he will remember feeling left out and she won't remember waiting...not all the time but some times. Also Lachie said he wanted a bottle so we gave him one...i even held him and fed him lol but then said he was a big boy and only babies need bottles and he did not ever ask again. He is also involved with her care as much as he wants to be. Keep up the good work and you will probably see it get better
