Well I'm trying to plan our xmas menu, usually I pig out on the ham and the seafood cocktail and thats the highlight of the food for me. Not to be this year though, will be able to BBQ some ham but give the seafood a miss..so what is everyone else looking forward to having?

I'm having the ham!!! I have ordered an uncooked ham and will cook it Xmas eve and have it cold on Xmas day and then I will be good and not eat left overs.  But I'm sorry I NEED the ham!

Thankfully for me, most of my fav Xmas foods are the sweets.

DH got given a cooked ham from his work, wonder if it would be ok to eat some of that cold when its just been opened.

I had ham but I heated it up I'd probably be wary of cold ham (the ones you get that are already cooked) but I was comfortable with piping hot.

I'm trying to remember what I had this time last year, I was 36 weeks preggie!! I think I had like the hot chicken/turkey and veges, cold kumara salad, pasta salad, stuff like that. I think the thing I was looking forward to the most was just yummy pasta salads, love them!

I am going to have to pass on the yummy cold ham, hot ham is not the nicest thing in the world.

We're having a BBQ for Christmas this year.  Mum and dad are buying and butchering a side of venison and I'm going to make some yummy salads to go with it.

The highlight of my Christmas meal is always mums berry salad so that's what I'm looking forward to the most.

I'm buying a ham but I won't have any on Christmas day and I won't eat it cold.  I'll eat it cooked in pasta and pizza dishes during the next couple of weeks.

I am a bit stumped as I don't like hot ham, only the cold. So I thought to be different I might make a big chicken salad for myself, happy enough with that, I'll still get the Ham etc for my DH & DD though as having xmas at home this year.

Mum is doing dinner this year, ham (already cooked but she cooks it again so it will be hot), roast veges, Turkey! Yum yum yum! I am doing the salad so will make it just before serving so I know it is ok. Will stear clear of dessert though as I am off sweet things

So I've been nominated to make the trifle - and I LOVE trifle - but what about the lashings of sherry-soaked sponge?

That's going to be an exercise in self-control

Just bought the chicken to roast tomorrow with roast veges and baby carrots (hopefully!) fresh from the garden.
Bought a pav too, will whip up the cream last minute so its fresh!

are you going to cook it the way Rachel did in "Friends" and add beef?

We are having ham, (i'll cook it tonight and have it cold tomorrow) and home made salads, prawns etc (tho i wont eat those, I don't like seafood anyway so I wouldn't eat it even if I could) mum is bringing a turkey ,and dad is making one of his famous pavs .
Mind you , i feel so nauseous eating anything atm , i dont know if I will be able to stomach any of it
