In the spirit of Christmas I thought it would be a great idea to publically thank people on this forum for any support, advice, care packages that they have kindly bestowed on you. Or perhaps you just want to thank everyone?   yes I stole this idea

I want to thank
ALL of the girls that hang out on in the daily chat thread, we need to get that back up and running!

ALL of the Vodafone Warriors Fans (great to be able to share my excitement!!)

ALL (too many to name) of the girls that I had the pleasure of meeting this year, you are all fantastic woman, and great mummies!

A big special thank you to Jo and Clare! Just cause

Soooooo Thank away!!!

Aw Mel, what a gorgeous idea.

I have so many to thank too so sorry if I don't thank you all by name but special thanks to Mel and Clare and Julia for putting up with me on here and elsewhere (love you girls) and thanks to Charly because you're such a sweetie (looking forward to meeting you IRL next year).

Thanks to all the girls in the Waiting to TTC thread who kept me occupied (if not sane) while I was waiting for the go ahead from DH.

Thanks to Kerryn who I keep promising to go for walks with and haven't quite made it yet (maybe in the new year?)

Thanks to the girls from Daily catch up and the girls from the Due in June thread and also the girls who listened to me and supported me while I was second guessing myself in the 2WW (gosh I get around).

Thanks to all who read my lame jokes and post a response.

What a great idea (although it makes it feel like thanks giving!)

Thanks to all the Jan/Feb Mummies .. for being the sisters Ive never had .. and just like sisters we all have our own opinions, but we all feel safe expressing how we feel, even if it differs from each other.

Thanks to Mel ... Im not sure if you know this .. but you got me through some rough times during Issys first three months in the world.

Thanks to Jo ... (just because ) .. Noooo I do actually have a reason. You are the one I run too when this whole working Mummy thing gets on top of me .. and you ALWAYS know just the right thing to say.

Oh and thanks to Emma .. for "lending" me Yvonne

Oh and a final thanks to the December 08 Mummies who always let me lurk and chat in their thread

Aww, what a great idea

I'd like to thank the October 07 Mummies for getting me through Keziah's first year (and a bit) and hopefully more to come. Without you all I would have gone stark raving mad... But seriously, you are a fantastic group of women of who I wouldn't have made it through the tough times I had with latching, breast feeding and all those horrid sleepless nights!! to you all

Daily Chat Thread - For all the great times spent chatting about random stuff

Due in August 09 - Looking forward to being apart of this group since I actually just joined yesterday but already you have all been a fantastic support.

And to the rest of the OhBabiers - You've ALL been a great help to me since I joined here and I am thankful that I have this place to come to when I need questions answered... You're all like family to me!! you all

Thank you to all the Jan/Feb mums who have shared our pregnancies, births, motherhood and for some of us, the hardest times of our lives together. I could never thank you enough for the support and advice you have all given. I would've felt really alone if it weren't for you. I love you guys to bits

Thank you to those who have organised and come to our meetups. It's nice to know that there are 'real' people behind all the messages.

Thank you to everybody who contributes to these forums. You have helped to make the whole motherhood experience just that wee bit more enjoyable.

OK from me (sorry it long).

  • Emma for letting me crash when we came up in September.
  • Mel, Deb, and Toni for coming round to Emma's to see me the night before I flew out
  • The daily Catch Up girls for putting up with me from January to June while me and Nigel were apart.
  • To everyone who has sent me PM's saying thanks for organising SS - no problem it was fun doing it.
  • Kels for being along side me doing the single mum and studying thing
  • Gen for doing the paper with me (but I then pulled out)
  • Janine for helping me with SS this year

Um I think that is all.

Jo! You have made my day! I can't wait to meet you IRL, too!! Thank you for all your great advice and wisdom. I know you've helped a lot of us jan/feb Mums, as well as me.

A HUGE thank you to the Jan/Feb Mums!
(in no particular order) Amber, Kate, Serenity, Mel, Verena, Trish, Liz, Jane, Julia, James (even though you don't love us enough to post ), Emma, Katie, Char, Shell and KA and TA! (gee I hope I haven't forgotten anyone!!)
You've all been a huge help and a fantastic support. I really, really REALLY would have lost my mind (and maybe my marriage? )if it wasn't for you!
I love you all like sisters.

Thank you to SimSam for hosting our wee get together last month. AND for the music CDs! Hannah's had hours of grooving!

Thank you to everyone on OB. Your advice and everyday chatter has made me smile - and realise I'm not actually alone!!

I would love to thank you all by name, but that would just take too long!

Thank you to too many people for being part of our incredible journey this year - so many people bit their nails with us, held us up, shed tears when our IVF was successful, have celebrated with us as Cuinn has grown (and grown and grown and GROWN! ). I couldn't list you all individually if I tried.

Also thank you to the wonderful women who have popped out of the woodwork at just the right time.

Nikki - because you're you, and you're an inspiration.

CaraMel - without having a clue you'd done it, you ended my head-scratching search for a baby sunscreen and I'm unbelievably grateful (it's bizzare what weird things send you into an anxious spin when your hormones are all over the place! )

Anna - for patiently sitting waiting for an email reply I haven't done yet

Simsam - for the photo story which STILL makes me laugh , for being there and for getting the string almost perfect .

Gen and Sarah Beth - you know why.

Katherine - so do you.

Those I'll remember at 3am ... I'll spot you then

Awww Charly!

Thanks to all the March/April mums for being there beside me on the good and bad days throughout my pregnancy and since the twinsies were born.
I hope the Friday night chats will continue

Also a a big thanks to the Jan/Feb mums for making me feel so welcome and again for being there through thick and thin.

And to 'both' of you for sharing your bubbas with me
I know that without you guys to come to day after day that I would have slowly gone insane and your friendship had helped curb the loneliness that has been lingering these last few months.

A huge thanks to everyone on OB who help make this place and enjoyable forum and a bottomless pit of knowledge that have made the first year of motherhood a little less difficult.

Oh thanks Kelly, I found my name YAY

Firstly, I want to say a massive thank you to my Jan/Feb mummies.. it's been a very hard year for me (for a lot of us) and late at night with DH away for weeks on end, I knew I could find someone to reassure me. It would be so wonderful if our paths are ever to cross (even though they have with TA and KA).

To the Dec mums, for letting me still be in the *gang* without being a Dec mum It's been great spending the last 18 months with you, through the ups and downs, and now to the first birthdays.

To THE KELLY - for making light of most situations when we are getting intense - you're a gem!

And a big thank you to everyone who has had to deal with me during TTC, pregnancy, the first year and also my husband's crappy job lol. You're all wonderful!

but especially...
Kelly - you are always happy to help if you can, and you're such a positive bubbly person that I can't help but smile at a lot of your posts...

Kazzle - you are an amazing and special lady and I thank you for all of your help, and advice, and just thoughts...

and there's a few more just cos - Jo, all the girls in the Planning threads, MumsyMoo (cos you crack me up! LOL) and I know I've missed some....

I've forgotten one important person...

Jess - you have always helped me with TTC and FF stuff, I'll be forever grateful for that. Please know that without your advice I wouldn't have known when I ovulated (as I couldn't understand it until you told me lol) and wouldn't have conceived Jack when I did. So I owe you a lot

My sister-mums in October 07 rock! They have so much patience and understanding, and advice when needed. They have listened to my ranting and ravings, been there during the 'dark days' and celebrated all the great days as well. I am so lucky to have met a couple of these wonderful women IRL, and I believe that this has just reinforced my thoughts about this great bunch of ladies.

I can only hope that my additional new sister-mum-to-be's in July 09 form as wonderful friendships as this

Alright...

After sitting here contemplating what it is I want to say, without getting too rambly (which I'm notorious for) I think I finally have it figured out.

First and foremost: The girls in the Jan/Feb Mummies thread. Especially those of you I shared my pregnancy with.
Without you, I'd be so lost.
You have all been there through the good and the bad, the thin through to the thick (that is, our ever expanding waist lines as the months passed)
You've made me laugh, you've allowed me to cry on your shoulders, you've acted as the support system that I lack elsewhere.
I could no have asked for a more humbling, supportive group of people to be a part of.
I love you and thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
You're all like the big sisters I've never had, but always longed for.

Charly, in particular - You my little jam tart, are an absolute one in a million kinda gal.
You've helped me through so much - I don't have a clue as to how you've put up with me sometimes.
So here's to all the girly chats, man bashing sessions and good ol' bitch fests we've ever had, and to all the many, many more that will no doubt ensue.

To all the other women on OB who make this the wonderful place that has kept me coming back for the last 18+ months... Thank you.

To Jo and Kels - For your extreme generosity when Eden had a horrendous case of nappy rash - Your selflessness and willingness to help me out still to this day blows me away. I ended up in tears because I couldn't believe that people that I hardly knew were so willing to go out of their way to help me out in a moment of desperation. So thank you, thank you, thank you. I only hope that one day in the future I can repay the debt.

The Kelly, for being a never ending source of kindness and inspiration. I really appreciate your words of encouragement that seem to spill from you on a regular basis. Thank you, and all the best for the upcoming nuptials and the wee one.

Steph - For being another young mum that I can talk to and vent to, and for lending your ear when I found it all a bit too much and was facing the possibility of being a single mum.
Thank you, and know that you are an inspiration to me.

Peachy - For allowing me to help you with Lauren's eczema. I don't know if anything I said was of any worth, but for me, knowing that I was potentially able to help you gives me the warm fuzzies and I want to thank you for that.

Ummm... I'm sure there's heaps more, but at this stage, I'm having a brain fart and can't remember much.

So! Thanks a million to everyone aforementioned and those I forgot.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, and please know that you all hold very special places in my heart

Its a funny thing - karma / fate / timing - whatever you want to call it. I was laying awake in bed last night thinking about OhBaby - and then to see this thread today, has put some things back in perspective for me.

I was thinking about how so many people on here have touched my life in some way, and even though I dont always agree with some things, I cant imagine not having the connection to you all.

I am bound to forget some people - but here are a few who have been in my thoughts lately:

NikkiB - for sharing your #2 journey with us. Thank you for giving me the awesome honor (purley by accident) of providing the middle name for #2! I am so touched, and its really special!!

Maya / Katherine / AngieBaby - for keeping such a fantastic site up and running, and providing us all with this amazing forum and network.

Ginger - for sharing Cuinns journey with all of us. You and your DH are truly special people who have blessed all of us with your open-ness, and I guess we all feel like we have played a small part in that journey, so thank you for being the courageous, funny, talented, cynical (hehe), shoe-loving chick that you are!

Mel - for making me smile, pretty much everyday. For being real - and not caring if people dont like it. You rock!

Peachy - you know why! Without you - who would read my texts / ranty PMs...you "get me" completely!!!

Jan/Feb 08 Mummies - for allowing me to stalk and to host a get together for you, it was so lovely to meet some of you and your lovely babies!

The Kelly / The Jo - you guys are fantastic and would love to meet you IRL one day! You make me smile, you are honest and open, and always there for everyone! Yay for you both!!!

MummyBecks / Janine - thanks for organising the SS - its a HUGE job, and we all appreciate the effort you guys put in!

And last but by no means least - the rest of the Oct 07 mummies for being a wonderful group of women who have enriched my life in so many ways (too many to list)...and who have made the most beautiful babies... big hugs to all my girls...SunnyHoney, Bel, MonicaMouse, Kabe, Neeks, NikkiB, Salifer, BabyG, Dj, Monster, Manz, Peachy. Thanks so much to all of you!

There are bound to be people I have forgotten - so please dont be offended!!!

Awww what a lovely thread!!!

Of course, huge THANKS to the Jan/Feb '08 mummies... I love you all. I am sure that I would have gone quite insane without having you guys for support... thanks for putting up with my venting, and for giving good advice and helping me realise that I'm not alone out there with the way I feel as a Mummy! And for sending me lovely parcels, info, cards and baby clothes!!! You truly feel like family to me.

Thanks to all the OB mummies that have offered support and "listened" when I have been going through PND stuff. It's all that got me through some days.

And a really massive thanks to everyone that chatted to me while I was in labour at home by myself with Chloe, until DH finally got home from work!! That was pretty mental and I still can't believe I did it, but it would have been a nightmare without being able to read your excited and encouraging comments.

Aww, it really is like thanksgiving in here, I can smell the turkey!

We're constantly thanking each other in the July 08 thread, but they really are an awesome bunch, you have all kept me sane. Special thanks to Emma, Fliss and Andrea for becoming such good friends in real life (if I may be so bold!), and to Karen for being easily the wittiest person in my blogosphere.

While I'm on about the blogosphere, I should thank ginger and Nikki for unknowingly allowing me to blogstalk them. You both rock. (Although sadly, I don't think Nikki's been around for a while, I hope she comes back!)

Thanks to Jo for your great jokes, and for challenging me on the odd contentious thread. You have helped me to grow as a person and a mother, probably without even realising you were doing it.

Thanks to Bizzy and monster (I think it was you!) for unwittingly introducing me to baby led weaning, which I would never have heard of if it weren't for you - I'm a total convert, and we're having lots of fun already, even though the only thing that seems to have made any impression so far was a pork chop!

Thanks to all you wise heads for your advice, Annie in particular, your no-nonsense breastfeeding advice is wonderful.

Thanks to everyone who has posted a question, no matter how stupid you might have thought it was. If I didn't have anything to contribute I was grateful for the asking and the answers others contributed, and if I did have something to contribute I got warm fuzzies for doing so. And thanks to everyone who has posted a rant of one sort or another, it makes us all feel better when we know other people are going through the same stuff as us, or worse, IYGWIM!

Like someone else said, I found being a first time mum was/is sometimes a very lonely and uncertain job. It is so good to have a website like this to come to and share things with wonderful supportive people.

You are all so lovely and always go out of your way to help. Thank you all so much for your support, encouragement and advice.

Thanks to Emma and the Ohbaby team for running this great place.

Thanks MrsMojo - I love your jokes

But most of all thanks to all the Oct 07 mums, I don't know what I would have done without you all. Some of you I have been journeying with for nearly two years!! Thanks for being there (putting up with not always so positive me), meeting up, sharing ideas, encouraging and sometimes just reading/listening. You are valuable and precious women! Thank you for the difference you have made to me & Joy.

Merry Christmas everyone
