My 8 week old has had 2 hard white buds above where his fangs are, he's had them for 2 weeks and they haven't really changed, but he's been drooling lots and chewing really hard on my knuckle. He's also been very unsettled for the past 2 weeks.
My question is how likely is he actually teething? and if so when will his teeth actually come through from the inital bud?
Also what are good chewing toys for him, he can't really have rusks at this age.
thanks

ETA the title should prob be teething

Fangs or the canines are not usually the first teeth that babies get-it tends to be the bottom middle teeth. This however is not to say that your little man isn't different because we all know that ever little bubs is different.
What is could be is just milk dots. My boy has one on his lower jaw and has had it for a long time. He also likes to chew hard on things.
I have found that my boy like to chew mostly on his rings. I would say at 8weeks that your bubs coordination wouldn't be good enough for him to easily find his mouth so something like a bunch of rings would make the hit and miss a little less likely.

re -the order of teeth coming in , usually its the middle ones first (bottom) but not always the case , Caitlyn got her top right canine first , then the left then the 2 bottom teeth either side of the middle ones
