Hi, I was confirmed pregnant a week last friday and am about 6-7weeks. On saturday I started to get a little brown spotting/mucus (not really blood), not a lot, I wouldn't even notice it if it wasn't for the slight brown colour.
I have had to pervious mc's so alarm bells have started. My specialist has been following my Hcg's and I have another in the morning so will know more then. The spotting started after my hubby and I were ...... but we did not have intercourse as I am scared to with my history.

Is this common? I am dreading another mc!

I had this for 2 weeks and 1 week at about 6 & 9 weeks during this pregnancy, and freaked out too as I've also had multiple mc's. I was somewhat reassured after posting on here and finding that it seems relatively common. Also I got to have an early scan at 6w5d and saw a good strong heartbeat which was a huge relief. I think if its just brown and not much its ok, if it turns red it may not be, but in saying that some people do get bright red bleeding and bubs is still fine. Try not to worry, hard I know, and if you do a search for spotting you will find several threads about this. Hoping all is well with you and your bubba, I'm sure it will be :)

I've read on here as well that it can be quite common after relations.
I would tell your specialist, normally with any spotting/bleeding they will send you for a scan and depending on how far along you are you might see a heartbeat. I had a scan at 7 weeks and it was very reassuring to see the heartbeat and that everything else that they can check looked ok.

I had this after 'relations' too, apparently an 'O' can make the cervix area bleed a bit, so even with no intercourse you could still bleed a bit. As long as it's brown, not bright red then there's usually nothing to worry about :)

Yup, your bits contract with an "O" and as your mucous plug is forming in your cervix it can cause a little bleeding. Well thats what I was told by a nurse.

I found that I would get wicked cramps when I "had a happy ending" in the first few weeks, but it did settle down. Also had some very red bleeding after special cuddles at 9 weeks so put off doing that again until about 15 weeks and all was good!

Let your LMC know and like cuppatea said, they will more than likely organise a scan to check everything is ok.

I had this exact thing regularly until about 9.5 weeks.....special cuddles or not! Very disconcerting, esp when I also have had 2 m/c. It just stopped one day...ironically after BD one night! lol   I think it's just old blood having a bit of a clean out when things start growing and stretching!

I was trying to keep it unoffensive lol!

I also forgot to mention that it could be a bit of leftover implantation bleeding.

I'm so glad the spotting has stopped and that your HCG results are spot on.
