So I know that brown period blood before and after your normal red blooded period is normal as it is old blood.
However, my period this month has been brown the whole time(some bits of dark dark red on the first day). It was late at 37 days when my cycle is usually more around 34 days.
It was not as heavy as it usually is but definitely more than just spotting. And it seems to be a bit shorter too as it looks to be getting very light and I am only on Day 3 of it....
Had some very light spotting just before this weird period. Took a pregnancy test on Friday (day before AF arrived) and was BFN of course.
Bugger my silly cycles. Don't think I've ever done this before - any ideas?

If it does stop, take a pg test again. Implantation occurs 7-10 days (on average) after conception, which can cause the bleeding, but often you can't get a HcG reading because its only after the implanting that the HcG can start to rise. Sooo.... to put it simply either you just had a weird period or you could be up the duff and just haven't had high enough HcG. I would test, but that's just me
Good luck!

Oh I wish I was up the duff!
But I'm pretty sure this is too heavy to be implantation bleeding, unfortunately....... (not that I'd know implantation bleeding if I ever got it! I'm just going on what I've read....) Haha

I've had this occasionally. I asked my doc about it once and she said it wasn't anything to worry about. I wasn't TTC at the time though, so I don't know if it has any relevance in that respect.

Ive had this too, most cycles this year Ive had some or the whole cycle has been brown and clotty. The Dr I spoke to said that its normal for your cycles to change throughout the years and may just be in transition to change. She also took bloods etc that all came back fine, she wasnt concerned at all. I know how you feel it is scary to have that, but I would still keep fingers crossed that it is implantation

Nah it's not scary - probably wouldn't have given it a second thought if I wasn't ttc! haha
Yeah had heard about Vitex, might try it after this cycle. My periods have been anywhere from 27 days to 37 days in the last 6 months. Didn't really take any notice of it before that so not sure what my cycles were like before then. It feels like they have gone a bit haywire straight after we started ttc but I suspect that it is just because I am paying more attention to them :p
Thanks for the replies!
