omg

im so embrassed, just been to the supermarket to get some bits and pieces, and went to the deli section to get some shaved ham for hubbies lunch tomorrow, and was standing there, and next thing i know all i can smell is all the different meats and suddenly im throwing up....HOW EMBRASSING,

they were really good though (once i stopped crying and told them i was 11wks pregnant), and someone walked around the supermarket with me holding my basket, making sure i was okay...so embrassed...lol

Aww Kaz you poor thing! But I'm glad they were good to you.

I have walked into the supermarket to only walk out again some days because I just can't cope with all the different aromas.

Aw Kaz!
Don't worry, I once had to make a mad dash out of a shop to throw up in their lovely planters outside because the sales assistant who was helping me had really strong perfume on!
It was awful because they were all standing there watching me and looking really grossed out.
How cool that they were so kind to you and helped you with the rest of your shopping!
Hope the MS eases up for you soon!

Poor you! That's awful, BUT very nice of them to make sure you were OK afterwards and everything. There's only one thing worse than throwing up and that's having to do it front of other people!

But PMSL at Kelly's comment :P

PS, Kazzle, if it makes you feel any better I once threw up in the middle of The Palms foodcourt (in Chch) ... was out shopping with my Nana when I had a cold, suddenly felt really ill and couldn't make it to the loos in time .... and this was tea time on a Friday    It's funny NOW (10 years later!) x

Oh no you poor thing. I came close a few times when I was in my first trimester especially when I went to the Thorndon New World as they cook all those paninis for people at lunchtime, the smell was awful. I still have to avoid it even now.
Pleased they were nice to you

Oh Kazzle - I did have a wee laugh but I know at the time it wasn't funny.

You poor thing! If it was me I would have died of embarressment, left the store never to return.

Now you have a great excuse not to go grocery shopping

Teehee, I can laugh coz there aren't many places I *haven't* thrown up. I seem to make a habit of throwing up in carparks when I'm pregnant (just ask Kels who wasn't sure where to look when I lost my breakfast in the carpark at Dressmart when I was 6 weeks preg with lil miss), and I once had to stop the car as I drove past KFC and throw up in the gutter coz the smell of the chicken was so rank .

You poor thing! Great of them to help you though.
lol i think anyone pregnant or not would throw up at the smell of KFC!
I threw up my handbag on the bus on the way to work when i was 6 weeks preg, they kicked me off because they thought i was drunk or something, i was so upset about it i just ran off and didnt tell them i was pregnant. man i got some nasty stares!
I was forever being sick in the rubbish bin by my desk, i had to quit when i was only 9wks because it was so bad! Walking home from the train was the worst, all the smells of the take aways and car exhausts, i think i was sick in every bush along the street!
I think i will just walk around with paper bags if i ever get pregnant again!

Oh Kaz, your poor thing. I'm so glad to hear that they were good about it and helped you out. I've heard too many stories from pregnant woman about throwing up in public only to have anyone and everyone give them evil looks, like they were doing something wrong. I had one friend get told at the train station she should drink so much f she didn't like to vomit! How rude! When I first got CFS I was feeling good one day and decided to go shopping, crumbled to the ground in the supermarket and everyone just kept walking on by. Finally dragged myself up and out. I had to get a taxi home 'cause it wasn't safe to drive. I think I was more devastated that I was surrounded by people and nobody stopped to see if the woman in a crumpled heap on the floor needed any help!
