Hi everyone.
Well, after my lovely DH cooked me a fresh fillet of salmon for dinner (first time I've had it in 10 years), I've rememebered WHY I haven't had it in 10 years
You're probably all going to think this is sacreligious - but I'm looking for ways to turn 2 uneaten fillets into baby food.
Is salmon safe for an almost 10 month old?
And if so, does anyone have any recipes?
I'm thinking potato, brocolli, carrot, salmon all mixed up in a white sauce and baked in the oven.
Maybe with some pasta?
Thanks

Any way you would cook salmon is fine I would assume. I give Jack tuna so as long as bones are out, I would think salmon would be fine too.
I usually do like a fish pie thing, or just tuna, rice and vegies.

Thanks
Hannah's a tuna nut, so I'm sure she'll swoon over salmon.
There's just something in the back of my head that's telling me it's a big No-No...
Maybe something to do with the cholesterol/oils?

I cooked salmon fillets for the twinsies about a month ago. Eimear loved it and Aoife hated it
I just mixed it with some scrambled egg.
Also I spent ages taking the bones out of it.

It's only a big No-No because it's a sin not to eat it yourself

my eldest daughter has eaten salmon since she was about 8 months.
i think the thing about some fish with small kiddies and during pregnancy is the high mercury content of larger fish (like swordfish..) i'm pretty sure salmon is safe.
yum.....i know what i'm going to have for dinner.....
