We're up to day nine here, lots of smelly, smelly farts and one very grumpy girl but no sign of an explosion

Sam was a once every 9-10 day'er. It was always scary when it actually came, but sort of nice that you only had to deal with it a couple of times a month

Better stock up on some wipes for when that one makes an appearance

For the first month or so Hannah was an uber pooper.
Then she'd average once a week until about 4 months, then every couple of days until 6 months.
Now she's only breastfed three times a day and poos every morning at 7:30am

However, when she was almost 3 months old she went 13 days
That was awesome.

The smellier the fart the closer the poo!

Thankfully the one time the twinsies went longer than a week DHs parents were babysitting for both explosions

We just had an eight day run, then about 6 huge poos in a 2-3 hr span, then back to every feed again!

I was babysitting my friend's 5 month old child a few years ago. The little girl only went every two weeks or so. She went when I was looking after her, I had to bath her, wash her hair and change her sheets... it went EVERYWHERE!

Oh no. Now I'm really scared! Please don't let me end up changing the hammock in the middle of the night!

Poor wee thing is in her hammock sleeping but every now and then she yelps like she's in pain, and oh boy does her rear end smell! If Tishy's theory is right then she'll be going pretty soon!

Anastasia had a few 8-10 day explosions and we def. required a bath for those ones, something that we dont have so it was a careful wrap, ring mum and tell her we were on the way and pop into the car.  Lucky for me they only seemed to happen during the day, usually when I had put her in the rocker/bouncer ..... must have bee the extra work she was doing with her legs

Good luck Emma ........ sounds like it could be a good one!!!

Ooooh yeah, she went on Fri night (day 10). And it was *nasty*! I had to put pressure on her tummy and hold her knees up to help her get it out but she was much happier for it!

I was told by a well-child health nurse that it is normal for a breastfed baby to hold their poo for up to 10 days. After 10 days, they are then classified as "constipated" and may need assistance!

Mine had 2-3 explosions every day in the mornings. And they were explosions too - change of clothes, bedding and even changes of clothes for me each time. Yick!

My little lad hadn't gone for 12 days when I saw the plunket nurse yesterday she wasn't happy and told me that if he hadn't gone by today that I had to go to the dr's.
She suggested giving gripe water as it helps with geting things moving. IT REALLY HELPS. Two huge explosions later he is back to being a very happy baby.
On a side note even with the two huge explosions my clothe nappies protected his clothes-very pleased.
