I have the streelcraft strider 3 and i love it. Its so easy to use and i like the fact that bubs can face you or away when they get a bit older.

Bumping this thread to get any updates - been looking at these in farmers and they look great, I like the fact you can change it so bubs faces you to start with.

How ahve you found them with two?

We looked seriously at buying this stroller, but at the last minute went with the reverse handle stroller instead.

We loved how you could turn the seat around, but it doesn't lie completely flat, and the bassinet attachment was around $200 to buy separately. We were told it's perfectly safe for newborns, but not to let them lie in there for longer than two hours because it doesn't lie completely flat. Also the back wheels were slightly too wide - we didn't think it would fit through our front door very well!

So we ended up getting the reverse handle one because it lies flat and the wheel-span is smaller. Would have liked to go for a three-wheeler stroller as I've been told they're easier to maneuver but I'm happy with our final choice :)

So did you get the four wheel option? With the smaller wheels?

Yep, we got the 4wheel reverse handle one. It fits through our front door and you've still got the option of having the baby facing you because it's got a reversible handle. Plus it was slightly cheaper than the 3-wheel one.

I think the only drawback to it is that it's got four wheels (which are harder to steer than 3 wheels) and there's an individual brake on each wheel, unlike a lot of 3 wheel strollers which have one bar across the back that connects to two back wheel brakes - so you have to individually activate 4 brakes rather than 1 or 2.

Having said all that, our baby is still 4 months away so we haven't actually been able to test-drive it properly yet!

We have the old strider 4 (four wheels, turn the seat to face you).

it doesn't lie completely flat, but that hasn't been a problem for us.

We love it. Yes, it's kinda wide at the back, but it has been a great stroller.

We also have a milano capsule that with a slight modification (I don't quite know what but DH did it) now clips into the strider. It's FAB!

We have the Strider 3, and I LOVE it!!

OK, if I could choose I would make it a little less wide, but I'd still choose this pram if I had to choose again.
I chose it particularly because Mika could face me, and it's great. I can talk to her, I can see exactly when she's falling asleep (or not), I can adjust things (blanket etc), without having to get myself into strange angles. I'd hate to have a pram where she faces away from me.

Just a tip. After a few weeks we had an issue with the front wheel, it kinda got stuck. All I had to do was take it off, wipe it and spray some lubricant on it. That was a year ago, and it's still smooth as.

I am going to be the odd one out.. I have the older model strider 3 and I HATE it.

It's really wide and I was always getting stuck on things, It doesnt fold up flat so its really bulky in the boot. Its pretty cheap quality, I forgot to fix the seat position in the right place before collapsing it and it bent the hood and lock out of place so it never locked when it was folded down.

I did like the bassinet and reversibility but personally wouldnt waste my money on them.

It obviously depends on how many children you're planning & how close together but in the long run, it probably would've been easier for us to just have bought the P n T's first time round

If we're going to have a 2nd it will be within 2.5 years of this one, so we would have two under 3 at the same time.

C&J thats why we are going to buy a P & T for the first one- the plan is to have them close together and dont want to have to buy 2 prams when one will do the job

You're right H, think I'll keep an eye out on TM for a second hand one. Or see if I can layby one from Baby City - if it will do two kids then I guess the outlay is worth it.

I have the steelcraft strider 4 and love it, not that its been tested yet

also found that you can connect some capsule to it and make it like snap n go wheels which I LOVE!

I think P&T's are overly priced really and the breaks are really hard to press.

I was adimit we would get a P&Ts but now we wont, plus the strider PLus is available now where you add the doubles kit, id much prefer this option and will trade up to it if #2 comes along closer but im a firm beliver in making toddlers walk as much as they can too, i walked everywhere when i was a young toddy

Farmers is the only place I know off, I got one the other day but within 5 minutes of putting it together I decided I hated it and took it back and got the 4 wheel reversable handled one instead.
