So excited - just got some pre-loved fluffy post!!
A DB fitted & booster (yay, another night nappy!) and a Swaddlebees Econappi (one-size pocket with poppers). I'm very excited about the Econappi - it looks really tidy and the velour feels gorgeous. I've done some research and it would seem that it takes up to 12 washes to reach absorbency, but after that it's really reliable. It looks much tidier than a Mommy's Touch when snapped down for a small baby too. Has anyone tried one?

I've got one. Its still in the early wash stage so is leaking round the legs if worn too long, but Scotts a heavy wetter so that might not help. Theres a pic of him wearing his on Tweedles gallery.

Oh he looks so cute!! It's so nice to see it on a small baby. I hope it gets better with washing for you. Please let me know!

Right, we've had success this afternoon. This time I lay the insert on top instead of stuffing it inside and it worked a treat, no leaks and the insert was very full. Should solve the problem until its fully washed in.
And thanks, I think hes a cutie too

That's interesting . . . . so maybe it's the velour lining that needs the pre-washing? I like the way the insert can be laid on top of the nappy too. Thanks for letting me know

I had leaks with my SB AIO till the velour lining was 'washed in' properly... so do give it a fair few washes :D
Do post a pic of Leo in it when you try it on him.

Well I've given the Econappi about 6 washes and I have to say I really like it! It's a really trim fit and absorbency-wise it lasts as long as any of my other nappies (Itti Bitti, boosted Fuzzis & HC, BG). The insert dries really quickly and can be folded lengthwise however it suits - on the largest setting I folded it in 3 so it doesn't quite reach all the way up the back once it's stuffed in and pulled up to fit, but a regular insert is never wet right up the back anyway and we haven't had any leaks. It's yet to have a poo test (does anyone know how velour handles stains?) but for now I'm impressed
Photos to follow.......once I've worked out how......
