Hey everyone,

I am almost 19 weeks and think I have been feeling baby move a bit for about a week now or maybe a bit more. But since yesterday i havnt felt the movements as much if at all. I went and lay down for 30 mins to see if any movement. I prodded, I coughed and did heaps of stuff to see if I can get the movement again, lol. The things we do (well I do ) lol.

I dod see Midwife on Thursday fo normal checkup so can check on heartbeat then but in the meantime do you think there is anything to worry about?? The movements are like little bubbles and like little tapping. No big kicks or anything like that yet.

im the same, i hate it when bubs is quiet. sometimes i wonder if its because bubs is still pretty small and we just dont notice the movements?? i have had a few really quiet days myself, i have noticed alrady thought that in general i feel the most movements at night around my bed time.
i know that when i was heavily pregnant with my first and i was concerened about lack of movement i rang midwife and she told me to have a really cold drink, or something sweet like chocolate... and sit down with my feet up and just wait!!! sit for a good 1/2 hour and just really concentrate. and it did work, but like i say that was when i was further along. but hey, its worth a try!
if all else fails and you still dont notice any movements it really wouldnt hurt to ring your midwife, just to be safe. she can check you and listen to bubs again.

goodluck kell! argh man its a scary time aye? so much to worry about!

Up until I was well into my third trimester, I'd go days without feeling my bub move. Depending on how they are lying in utero and whether you have an anterior placenta can make a big difference. I really wouldn't worry too much, you don't even need to do a kick count and look for 10 movements a day until you're 35 weeks!

My movements didn't start to get regular *and* frequent until after 20 weeks, although I was feeling them intermittently from 16 weeks onwards... and NOW it's like she won't stop ! LOL

There is heaps of room in there at the moment and baby is so small so if they change positions (which happens all the time) it may mean you wont be able to feel anything till bubs moves again. They dont worry about movement until you are 26 weeks and from then you should be feeling 10 in 12 hours. It all sounds normal but if you are worried then give your midwife a ring.

I started feeling movement at about 18 weeks. There were big gaps between movement and I was often worried because I couldnt feel anything, I found it a really nerve racking time! The midwife said not to worry before 28 weeks but that wasnt helpful at all. So I sympathize. But its just a month or two before you'll be feeling your baby all the time.

My bubs has been doing that worrying me, but by the end of the day right before my bed time he/she tends to have a good kick in there if you are worried tho ring your midwife they don't mind and that is what they are there for.
