I had my left ovary and fallopian tube removed in emergency surgery a few days ago. I've just made it home from hospital, which was a challenge in itself as they didn't want to let me go home yet but I was SO OVER being stuck in a room with three other women (luckily they were lovely) and being woken up every two hours to have obs done on me.
Being home is great, although I'm stuck on strict bed rest for the next week to 10 days (borrring) and after that I'm not allowed to drive, lift up Alex or do anything fun for six weeks. Luckily DH's work has been very understanding, so he's able to be home with me for a lot of the time.
Before this happened we had already been TTC #2, and this will now make it a wee bit trickier, once we're allowed to start trying again. Hopefully my right ovary will kick in and do double duty but it could take a while.
Has anyone else here TTC successfully or otherwise with one ovary?

Gosh, you have been through a bit in the last few days!
I haven't had personal experience with this, but my Sister in Law had her ovary & fallopian tube removed after an eptopic pregnancy a few years back and has gone on to have two more children since. She said it didn't cause her any problems at all conceiving.

When I had my ectopic and we discussed options I had I think I remember them saying that removing one side would reduce my chances by about 25% or look at it as taking 25% longer than normal

Sorry to hear about your surgery Mikaela, I hope you're feeling ok and that your right ovary makes up for it!
