Im currently at 78.2 (as of this morning) ... my goal weight will be between 65-68 (as Im carrying less muscle than I was before the bump .. so I would need to be lighter to look the same).
Ive lost 5 kilos so far (in just over a month)... and have just started training in earnest for the More FM Triathlon series (Im doing the three Auckland ones)

Just over 72kg here, though I've been banned from weighing myself until I'm finished the current stage of the programme I'm on with my personal trainer. My goal weight is about the same as yours lilfatty - 65kg.
I have mostly been banned from weighing myself as it is not my main focus (believe it or not) - I have a bigger goal in mind for the end of the year.

Can I join too?
The catch is I don't actually want to lose any weight, I just want to turn my extra fat back into muscle so although I'll weigh the same I'll have a lean body instead of a jiggly flabby one.

OK I'll join, I know I posted in the one in the photo gallery but can't be assed sifting through pages either.
Current weight: 84.5kg
Goal weight: 75-77kg (until next baby's born then it will be 70-73kg and maintenance)
I'm going for a 500g loss on average per week up until Christmas. Secretly I'm hoping for some wicked MS again so I can drop a few kgs - how bad is that?!
At the moment I'm trying to stick to WW points (trying being the word - not succeeding well as I'm sabbotaging myself for some reason) and exercising every day which is better than I have been doing. Monday, Thursday is cross-trainer, Tuesday and one day in the weekend is swimming, and Wednesday and Friday is TurboJam DVD's. We'll see how it goes anyway. I honestly used to be able to drop 10kg in a matter of 2-3 months but don't have the motivation now either. I just keep picturing myself in my wedding dress and how great I looked whenever I reach for another cookie (although damnit I still get the cookie but one is better than 3!)

oh this is perfect - I have put on weigh over winter (damn cabin fever) so here we go
SW - 71kgs
GW - 65kgs
I lost 6kgs last spring (that was my baby wieght and got down to 67kgs (on a good day 66kgs) so will stick along those line again - although i am finding I am being good most days I seem to be getting bigger.
So what is everyone doing thats working to loose the wieght?

My original starting weight when I first started was 90kg.
My weight a couple of days ago was 72.2kg
GW: 69.9kg lol
Ultimate GW would be 65kg but I think that's going to be damn near impossible lol
I'm watching my snacking (ie trying not to lol) and choosing healthier takeaways (we have takeaways once a week). Plus I'm exercising as much as I can (usually around 6km a day) but not for the past few days as I'm getting sick.

I will join in......the more motivation the better.
SW 74kgs (shudder)
GW 62kgs
Could be an impossible goal but am going to try.
I am a short bum so my SW was terrrible for my height! WW reckons I should be at 62kgs MAX! I feel better at 62 but would probably settle at 65kgs if I get stuck there.
I try to exercise 5 days a week, at the mo 7 is a little too much for me.
I also need to stop constantly eating, so working on 3 meals and 2 small snacks. I have cut out ALL junk food, and limited fizzy drink.

emz - an easy meal is tortillas/wraps.. i've been eating lots of these over the past couple of weeks. they taste yummy, and you just shove whatever in them and can make them different each time for different taste. I just chop up capsicum, cucumber etc one day and do lots and shove the rest in the fridge prechopped for next time.

Snacking is OK, it's what you snack on that counts!
And if anyone wants to be nosy, I have an online food journal - I have to keep this for my PT anyway but I figured having it out in the open will keep me on the right track! I'd be too embarassed to fall off the wagon

I eat really well and ensure I eat 3 good meals plus morning tea. I don't deny myself dark chocolate but I don't keep it in the house/at work either so if I want some I have to go and buy it and I'm never allowed it before a meal so generally I don't buy it.
I am exercising regularly again (mostly resistance training) so that's helped heaps too, although I've had a cold for the last couple of weeks so didn't exercise during that time except my daily walks, but I also plan to start running. I hate running too and I look emo when I run but I don't have time for a decent fat burning walk anymore so I'm going to have to run or I won't get any decent cardio into my routine (I currently walk for about 45 mins each day but it's broken up - during my trips to and from work and home - and 90% is on the flat).
My new plan is to also cut out wine for a few weeks. I not a big booze hag or anything but I have been enjoying a glass of wine each night after Michaela's in bed and that's an extra few hundred kjs I can do without.
Emz, I have a plate that's bigger than a side plate but smaller than a dinner plate. I use that at dinner time and make sure it's at least 1/2 full of vegetables. I also ensure I have fruit/vege at every meal.

Umm for those of you who asked I eat as follows Mon-Sat and on Sunday its the same except lunch is usually chicken and veges at Mums place and I have dessert.
Breakfast 1/4 cup oats made with water and I mix in 100g pineapple in juice
Morning tea .. low carb protein shake (Dymatize) and a small banana
Lunch .. 1/2 tin of tuna in water with either rice wafters or a slice of toast ... and I put hummus on as a spread before the tuna.
Afternoon tea ... protein bar .. or protein shake and a small piece of fruit.
Dinner ... grilled chicken ... small wedge of pumpkin or kumara and hummus.
Ive always eaten really plainly so thats about as exciting as it gets. Oh and I dont really do veges hence the reason you dont see any in my food lol.
And ... I tend to eat like above as its what I am used too not because its any special diet
Oooo I did try chicken and hummus on a wrap for lunch once ... it was very yummy .. but the carbs are SUPER high and I couldnt justify that on a daily basis.

I am in. I need to lose weight but my PT has told me not to concentrate on the weight loss at the moment and concentrate on my fitness. I want to at the end of November run 2.4km in 12 minutes 30 seconds (it is the Army RFL run for my age and sex). At the moment I can run for 7 mins straight and then die and I can run just over a km. I know I need to get my eating under control but as we don't have easy access to a supermarket (30kms away) I find it hard to have fresh fruit and veges in the house.
So i won't be in with weight just at the moment as once my running is under way then my PT will weigh me.

Becks - remember frozen vege is as good as fresh, and often if you get fruit in juice not syrup (read the labels though) they can be a better choice than not eating fruit at all.
Lilfatty - that's where I'm going wrong. I like nice food There's no way I could stick to that cos I need variety. Plus I have IBS which just throws in another kettle of fish.

Becks, tinned and frozen fruit/veges are just as good as fresh as far as nutrients goes. No idea how they comapre caloriewise though, I guess it depends on what you choose.

Parts of the pilates session are too hard for me too. It's difficult going from lying down to sitting upright just using your abs when you have none! The people on the DVD are usually on their 5th or 6th rep and I'm still trying to get up for my first
I'll get there though. I used to have strong abs once upon a time and I intend to have them again before another baby ravages my body.
Does everyone else still have strongly defined split down the middle of their tummy where the abs parted? It's like I have two tummies side by side - I think that's the only part I hate about my post baby body.

*snorts* There's no excuse for me to still have mine then.
I've always had to wear 2 bras when doing cardio so when I start running I'll do the same thing. I also need to buy a new sports bra because I've gone up a couple of cups since having Michaela so I'll get a really good supportive one (I hear the Berlei's really good) and I'll wear a soft cup sports bra over the top of that and then a singlet or t-shirt.

They say you should have at least 8 cups (or 2 litres) of liquid daily but I don't know what the max is. I drink heaps and have been told in the past (by busy bodies) that I drink too much but I go by whether I'm thirsty and IMO if I'm drinking because I'm thirsty then surely I'm not drinking too much.

I have anywhere from 2L on a bad day to about 3L - though maybe a bit more sometimes if I have herbal tea.

mrsmojo ... now I have boobs .. I wear a bra, then a bra gym top over that (for extra compression) and then a t-shirt.
I remember back when I could run with no bra at all!

I've not been able to do that since I was 10 so I guess I'm just used to them but my breasts went from a c cup pre baby to a dd cup post baby so I'm concerned about how much they'll stretch if they bounce around too much so am going to make sure they're always strapped in tight and can't move at all when I do cardio.
p.s. I'm not complaining - I love having bigger breast, I just hope that they're not going to get too saggy otherwise I'll be getting a breast lift when I've finished having kids

I drink a litre a day no problem. Which I know needs to increase for summer.
I was told if you are thirsty, it is a bad sign.
But was just told recently you can drink too much water, your body loses some mineral....can't remember which one.
Thanks

Yep its true ... and the mineral you loose by drinking too much water is sodium (although its pretty hard and very rare for a healthy adult to drink too much water)

lol wearing 2 bras while running would be heaven for me. I have to wear a sports bra, then a sports crop top thing that is one size too small so its nice and tight then i duct tape the suckers otherwise I'm in massive pain the next day from all the bounce!

When i do my exercise I wear my bra and also an old BF top and it is nice and snug at my boobs so keeps them in place when I run. My PT told me it has been one of the best tops she has seen for a woman to hold everything in place.
I need to drink more water. I drink a bit when I exercise but I tend to drink a lot of Coke Zero .

We have a budget of $200 one week and $50 for the following week. So adding things in like drinks (beer, wine or fizzy) is just eating into that, even if its only a few dollars. I'm trying hard not to go over my budget even with the food increases so no unneccesary purchases for us.. and I figure its good for us not to have that stuff anyway

We have a budget of $130.00 a week for food and most weeks I have about $10.00 left over.
HOWEVER at my work we have fresh fruit and lunch foods provided .. so thats a huge bonus for us!
And we have lunch/dinner at the parents house every Sunday so thats another meal I dont have to budget for.

What sucks at the moment with groceries and trying to eat healthy/loose weight is that all the fruit and vege is so much more expensive. Lettuce is rediculous, it's one of the only things we buy fresh because it obviously doesn't do too well frozen. I need to give DH a kick in the bum to get his vege garden producing again

that is awesome by your work - i cant complain my work buy me lunch all the time LOL - he he the joys of family - no wonder i got chubby LOL
yip if coke is pretty much my only thing i wont cut out and if it just $2 or so i think i can live with that.. he he DH is same with his beer about 1 lot every fornight
we spend about $110 every week so not to bad for two adults done think LOL - about $40 of that is at the fruit shop

lol half of ours is a swamp, half is totally dry (under a tree).
You don't actually need grass for it. At the garden centre they have kits that you grow the veges in pots. Still works out way cheaper than buying them, especially for the tomatos etc

In a way Im lucky .. and I dont like vegetables (well I like very few veges) so we dont buy any except a small bag of kumara sweeties for me or a half a pumpkin (and the ocassional (sp) potato)
Oh and we buy a bag of frozen vegies every now and again if Im planning on cooking a roast chicken.

mmm we are so nauthy we don't skimp on the groceries...but we are lucky as SIL lives with us and pays half when there is 1 of her and 3 of us...but her choice. I suppose the deal is I cook every single meal and she doesn't have to worry/think about it.
I don't eat red meat so would probably be lost without my veges. I tend to buy more frozen now than fresh....works out cheaper as we don't waste because it has gone off

I love fresh veges but also supplement with frozen veg a lot (plus frozen veg is heaps easier because there's no prep time).
I make a point of buying fresh produce that is in season because it tastes better and is cheaper. I haven't have a lettuce in months but I go through a pumpkin a fortnight and we eat heaps of broccoli and other winter veg atm.
I have a list of the availability for different fruit and vege somewhere that I can photograph and post if you want, otherwise it's bound to be on the internet.
ETA: Michaela loves fruit and veg too and we're pretty good about eating what I buy, anything left over at the end of the fortnight can be shoved into a soup or stew so it's not wasted.

We have a budget of $150 per week for groceries. I usually but lots of fresh fruit and veges. But yea it definitely isn't cheap to eat healthily...which is kinda fundamental to losing weight!. Most of the time I have some spare change left over which is good! But yes I'm very budget consious, It takes me ages to do my shopping, since I'm armed with my shopping list, writing down every price, and adding it up! Our spending on meat has come down though, since I'm now buying appropriate portion sizes for hour meals. It's weird because I always thought the correct portions were too small, but now I've been controlling the meat portions I think sheesh why did we eat sooo much meat!

Just got back from the gym, and I am beat. I don't know how you manage to exercise twice a day some days lilfatty ?? Mind you I was being chased by my 'personal torturer' and she is MEAN lol Just the way I like it. I stiiiiiiink of chlorine though, think I will have a second (proper) shower when Erin is in bed, the showers at the gym just don't cut it.
Did a good run too, so weights tomorrow, not sure what I will do with my Friday - maybe a class ??
As for the food talk, well, we have $300 a fortnight to cover everything - though in our last 'big' shop which was just over $200, $50 of that was fresh fruit and vege! And that is running out already, I will have to do at least another two top ups before the fortnight is out.
Plus I am back to being vegetarian again YAY and I agree - eating healthily is not cheap.
Have found the cheapest place to get protein powder too is actually Pak N Save... was $7 cheaper than the shop I used to go to, and I never realised
