So with my last pregnancies i was VERY sick for the 1st 3 months, and even though I am desperate to be pregnant and have a healthy baby (girl, lol)... i am absolutely scared out of my wits about morning sickness.
That had to be the most horrible days of my life, i wanted to enjoy being pregnant but it was grossly overshadowed by the CONSTANT nausea.
It was like i was car sick for 3 solid months, it was certainly not just the mornings, i lost 12 kg in the first 3 months of pregnancy... certainly loved being thin, lol...but not a healthy way to loose weight let alone grow a baby. (Cant have been that bad for him though...al 9lb 11oz of him).
Im just soooooo not looking forward to it......
There is my moan for the day..... how bout you,....
Did you get M.S.????
How bad????

Hi There,
Morning sickness is not fun. I had it for about 16 weeks with my 3rd pregnancy.
I got married when I was 3 months pregnant and I tell you every minute of that day I was worried I was going to get sick in my dress.
I hope for both of us next time our pregnancies will be without morning sickness.
All the best
Good Luck
Mandy

Did you ever go to the docs and get some meds for it?
I finally got fed up with throwing up and went to my docs at 14 weeks and got some, wish I had done it sooner!

I had MS or should I say "24/7 sickness for about 6 months before it eased off. Then would mainly be sick in the mornings. The 8th month was the best for me.
I totally get where you are coming from - it was the most horrible time of my life. One day DH asked what he could get me and my reply was "a bullet" . I always thought I would love being PG but I hated it. I was definately not going to have another one but since having DS I have changed my mind.
I know they say that every pregnancy is different but until you get PG you just don't know what is going to happen. I think I am sensitive to hormones because I feel ill taking the pill.
My midwife said there was nothing I could take that would help (???) I have since learnt there are some medications to help with the nausea. Although I don't know if a tablet would have stayed down anyway.
All the best onemorebub - I hope next time it goes well for you

I had MS all day every day up till 34 weeks when i finished work i had tablets to take but they didnt work for me and yeah it was like being car sick for the whole time. At the time i swore i would never have another baby but now i think about it it was only 8 months out of my whole life and Josh was worth it. It still worries me about being pregnant again but i got thru it last time. I hear each pregnancy is different so i hope next time its not as bad or for as long.

WOW you ladies make my 12 weeks sound like a walk in the park, lol. I couldnt imagine having that horrible feeling for an entire pregnancy.
The only thing that really kept me going was the fact that according to midwife, morning sickness is a sign of a very healthy pregnancy and baby.
I was offered some medications to ease the nasea but i declined when they said there was no known side effects on unborn baby, but couldnt guarantee it.... so i just put up with it.
There were a couple of time where they were considering admitting me just to get some fluids into me, but started easing at 12 weeks and the rest of my pregnancys were a breeze.

I had hyperemesis too, pregnancy pretty much sucks for me and I hated every minute of all three pregnancies, but looking at my girls makes it all so worth it. Sounds cliched I know but Chiara is only 6 weeks old and I've already forgotten how sick I was (almost!)
