Today I got my third, yes third AF in 6 and a half weeks

I had AF 6 weeks after Hannah was born, then nothing until July 4th. Each (so far) lasting a week and really heavy and crampy.
I'm on the mini pill, yet it still happens!
Anyone else had this?
Any ideas?
I'm taking Noriday, and I don't think I'm overly happy with it.
*eta - should read DIRTY, not dirth. gah.

I had exactly the same problem on the minipill (Noriday as well), in terms of getting AF what seemed like all the time. I only started getting periods when I started taking the mini pill which was 6 months after Alyssa was born. Also think it messed with my hormones cause I felt angry all the time too. Definitely not going to bother next time.

i had the same thing when i was on noriday...i can only have the minipill because of bloodclotting so i ditched it altogether! i got so sick of the bleeding all the time

if you persevere with the pills, it will settle down...but it takes time

Noriday was pretty bad for me too.
I got all sorts of random bleeding on it, then I got pregnant (not bad as it turns out, but certainly not what we planned!). After I had Ella I went back on it and same random bleeding and also got the worst PMS I've ever had.
I was like some kind of evil, hormonal witch from ov till halfway through my period.
Never going there again!

I hate the mini pill as it did the same thing to me too.

Wow, OK...so it seems like I'm not the only evil bitch around here Poor DH!

Hmm...maybe I should investigate an alternative

3 pills a day?? Would that be safe for my breastmilk?

Noriday did the same to me and I had to take 2 pills a day...it still didn't stop all the spotting I was getting in between AF I ended up going off the pill and using condoms.

I'm not on any pill but after the post-partum AF stopped I've been getting mini-periods (like breakthrough bleeding) on a 2-3 week basis, lasting a few days. I'm also still fully BF. Then about a month ago (Emily's 6 months now) I got a proper AF - heavy and with cramping lasting about 4-5 days, so I'm not sure if I'm going to get another one or just more breakthrough bleeding - Plunket nurse said it can happen and is normal - so not fair! I've read that when babies of BF mums get to about 4 months and start feeding less and sleeping more through the night, this can cause your AF to come back too.

I thought that the mini pill didn't effect your cycle...just made the environment unfriendly for sperm...and the uterous unfriendly for implanting. Im on noriday and its been fine. My first 2 periods were a bit weird, but I put that down to my body getting back into the swing of things.
Good luck finding an alternative :o)

Gah, I've just gone onto the mini-pill this week - Noriday!  I don't think I'll continue with it now though.  I haven't been on noriday before.  Can't remeber the mini-pill I previously used after having Gia, but it made me spot every few weeks as well.  So I stopped it after a few months & my periods returned to normal.  I did however fall pg with Jett not long after that.
