I've always used huggies nappies, and until now they've been great. But the last three nights in a row they've leaked really badly.

We just went up a size a few weeks ago so I'm sure it's not that they're too small.

I have no idea what's causing them to leak all of a sudden! I'm always careful to make sure the leg frills are sitting properly and that his doodle is pointing down.

What can I do to stop them leaking? Or should I try a different brand for overnight? Suggestions?

omg someone else who's having this problem too!!!
Thomas was absolutely soaking wet this morning when he woke up! I'm doing the same things as you, but with no success. I wonder if it's a crappy batch or they've changed something? I went to huggies as they were far better than everything else i'd tried, and now he's in the infant ones instead of newborn they're crap! Well the last packet has been anyway.

Buy an overnap is all I can suggest. At least that way even if the nappy is soaked, it shouldn't go through to his pjs and bedding.

I've never had a problem with them..
If anything, they've improved with each size-up.

Perhaps it's just the boys?

Where do you get overnaps from?

I wonder if I should give Treasures Ultra a go for a few nights - aren't they meant to be the other 'good' disposable nappy?

I'd just go on trademe and find a bummis cover or something. They are good quality covers for cloth butts but no reason you can't put it over a sposie!

I've had the same problem and we only use then at night. I bought some overnaps at farmers and that seems to have helped. A friend of mine swears by the treasures ultra ones but I haven't tried them for nights.

I've had the same problem with Samara and now I put two nappy liners in the Huggies nappy and she hasn't been wet since.

I only have a problem when he needs to go up a size we are in walker naps now. Even though you have gone up a size buy a packet of the even bigger size just to try at night. I put josh in a larger size at night while i used up the smaller size during the day and even if it doesnt work you will still use the bigger size eventually.

I haven't had a problem a Huggies, but if a bunch of you have noticed a recent change, maybe you should contact Huggies and let them know. You might get some freebies if it's a problem with a batch..

Don't bother trying to contact them if you want replacements. We had a terrible box of newborns where they were sewn funny and the customer service woman (in Australia) wanted us to send 4 nappies - one from the top and bottom of each stack to Australia. Then they were going to check them and *see* if there was an issue.

Can you imagine how long we would have had to wait to get that sorted?

We ended up just using them with a plastic cover over them but they were coming undone when she moved around.

I find we have issues when we first go up a size with the huggies. But someone here recommended Woolworths Select brand and they've been awesome for us (and they're lots cheaper) - so if you want to try an alternative that might be an option.

I have to agree with the customer service of Huggies compared to Treasures. Huggies want so much from you and then usually don't end up giving any replacement, but Treasures are really good at replacing a bag for every nappy that is defect.

I am using Ultras on Josh at night and they have been really good.

We use Huggies for both Emma and Gina and have never had leak issues.
Mikaela, are the size up maybe too big?

Gremlins are only in Huggies at night and in the past few days Mercedes one has leaked every night. I think she's just started wetting heavier tho coz Sienna is in nappies from the same pack and hers have been fine.

I have never had a problem with we only use at night too as James started peeing to much at night for cloths but you do seem to get the odd crappy one here and there.

We get night leaks with Huggies as well. Have taken using Treasures Ultra, with a couple of nappy liners stuffed in, and then an overnap on top of that. the only time we've had a leak since this new system is when we've forgotton the overnap.

For overnaps, I've got a couple of velcro ones from Baby Factory (forget which brand) and a couple of fluffy pilchers (also from Baby Fact), which I love as they look so cute!

I've started using overnaps with our huggies at night, I thought it was just because she's started to wet more in the last few weeks through the night.

Huggies - We only have problems with leakage if she's due to go up a size (like now, but that's because of sizing not leakage) LOL we have just today purchased our first lot of Huggies Toddler Nappies!! My baby is only JUST crawling how can she be a toddler already?? Say it ain't so!!!

My Hubby works in grocery trade and says that huggies are about to change their nappies both packaging and nappy. Don't know when, I guess when the old ones all sell through.
About a month ago we had leaky ones too but hasn't been a prob this batch that we've bought. Obviously there is a bad batch? I tought it was just me!!
