isnt it scary when your baby holds their breath while crying (as in they open their mouth wide):( my girl has done this a few times I wonder when she start breathing/crying again.

Charlotte was a shocker for doing this and passing out, eyes roll back, etc. When they apss out, they start breathing again, thogh...

What I do when she does this (still does it occasionally) is blow into her mouth. Stops its straight away.

Keziah does this too, and it's really scary but DF told me to blow in her face and it soon stops it

Daniel does it too. He always starts up again though so I'm not worried about it

Thank you thank you thank you!!

I have a 5 1/2 mth old who has started doing this, screeming then passing out! I have been so worried. My husband and mother in law both did this as children (thank god my husband has stopped!). We took our daughter to the pediatrican a few days ago, just to confirm that she was okay. Thankfully everything was fine. Happy to hear I am not alone in this, Its so scary.

I always feel so bad for PJ when he does this. I know he must feel so upset when he can't even express himself or tell Mumma what he needs/wants. Poor lil bubbas.
It breaks my heart.

Oh wow - you guys have all made me feel SOOOOOO much better. I think this is what happened the other night - we ended up taking Ollie to ED and being admitted to hospital over night so they could monitor him. Of course he was fine and I'm sure his notes say +++ anxious mum!!!

I find it so scary but at least I know I'm not the only one. Does it only happen when they cry? I've only seen Ollie do it once when crying but I'm absolutely paranoid that it will happen when I'm not there and he won't start breathing again...
