I'm off to Rotorua this weekend - yay!!!
The hotel we're staying in has a thermal pool, now if its a regular chlorinated water pool thats just heated thermally it should be safe to swim in right?
But what about if the pool is filled with mineral water? Is it safe then?
I won't be going in the spa because of the temperature but am quite looking forward to a swim!

My midwife told me that mineral pools were ok - but I am sure there is differing advice around about it, I had thought they were off limits originally! We have one here and she told me that it was fine to go down and use them if I wanted to.
Hope someone else can offer an opinion!

Not sure about the whole swimming thing but was wondering how hot does the water have to be for it to be too hot for bubs?

hi
im in rotorua and i went swimming all the time when i was pg.
just a warning tho , have a look around the walls where the pool is as some (alot) come strait out of natural thermal springs (not just heated thermally) and arnt safe to put your head under.
it will have warnings up on the walls tho.
