Just wondering how long it has taken you ladies to get pregnant, we have been trying for 6 months now.
When i got pregnant with Blair all it took was forgetting to take 1 pill and with Ryan and Katelyn it took about 6 months.

The months sure do vary from women to women. I find it very frustrating and its only been 6 months, i so feel for the ladies that have been trying for months or even years and i know it will happen when its meant to but just want it to hurry up cause i want my family all finished.
I will have to be patient and just wait it out, good luck to all you ladies out there TTC, hope we all have sticky babies very soon

Well for me, it took one month of TTC for the first child I am pregnant with.
But in saying that, DH and I have been having unprotected sex for the past 3 to 4 years, and never got pregnant until we wanted to have a child.
I have severe fertility problems (had a ovary removed due to cancer, endometriosis, polyps on my uterus, and not ovulating on a regular basis)..
I had to resort to natural therapies about 6 months before DH and I actively tried to conceived. It worked, and DH and I consider our little sprite a miracle child. There was no way I could have IVF treatment, as the hormones could cause another cancerous tumour to form in my remainding ovary.
This will be the only child for DH and I, as doctors said that I will find it very hard to conceive again.

after taking my IUD out it took us 1 month to have number 1 and this one was unplanned......my worry will be not to concieve so soon after this one.....as i have a theory that i can reproduce just looking at DH!
but goodluck to all TTC......i remember when i got my AF in the first month of trying and feeling so disappointed and just longing to be pregnant.....and that is nothing compared to months of TTC ! so big

I feel the same when AF arrives, but then i tell myself its not meant to be this month and hope next month is the month.
We only have 2 more months to get pregnant then we have to put it on hold for 3 months so we dont end up with another baby due around Calving time cause it just makes things too difficult for DH, he gets sooo tired with having a new born and having to get up really early to go on the farm. I dont really want to stop but i know its wat we need to do. So hopefully it happens within the next couple of months, fingers crossed

It took us about 3 years and several miscarriages at week 6. The only way I could cope was to tell myself it took six weeks to get AF. Eventually I had given up hope and planned to adopt from overseas. The stress came off, I was on holiday and it happened.
It can be a long hard road.

Took 2 years of TTC to get my BFP!
Had not been on the pill prior to trying for 6 years and only used withdrawal method. Didn't get PG until after a lap and dye through F+.
Hoping that when we start trying for number 2 that we don't have any holdups.

I came off the BCP in March and no luck yet, but my cycles are still irregular. Last month I was pretty sure we timed "it" right but alas AF made her appearance at the weekend. It amazes me how people who know nothing about charting or their cycles get pregnant straight away! Some of my friends didn't even realise there is only a very short window of opportunity each month.

Maya was unplanned so no trying, 11 months with our angel baby (12 cycles as I have short cycles), then I only had one AF between the d and c and getting preg with the gremlins. Chiara was a one shot wonder, we literally only had sex once. Seems we are good at getting preg when we *don't* want to and not so good at it when we *do* want to!

Thanx ladies!!
It's nice to know I'm not the only one taking forever!! You start to think there's something wrong with you....and to make things worse....people start suggesting there might be! It's like don't they already know it's stressful and upsetting enough without their 2cents worth! ha!! I dont think they realise.
Thanks for the well wishes & encouragement ladies :) much appreciated
fingers crossed it happens this month! ;) practice makes perfect!! hehe!
