Are you using them during the day or overnight? I think they would have been fine on Leo during the day, they were just too tiny on Leo overnight (I couldn't fit any extra boosting in) - and I'm not really interested in using 2-parters on him during the day (it's hard enough getting him in a pocket!!). That's the great thing about MCN's though - there are SO many choices and a perfect nappy out there for everyone

I dont mind using my honeychilds (have kept a few and sold the rest) for night time - i just needed to find a much trimmer nappy for him during the day when hes running around

Hes been asleep for the past 3 hours and he had it on for about half hour before he went down so i guess il see how it held up when he gets up

Is there anywhere else to buy ittis from other than MI??

Are you selling on TM cuppatea - if so how well do they sell. I have a BG (worn twice) and a HC (worn once) to sell.

5 that I put up sold quite quicky and for what I wanted but I have another 3 up that aren't doing so well. Think maybe I have asked too much, reluctant to sell for less though cos they have hardly been used. Have a few people watching though and is a few more days till the auctions end so we will see.

I had my Bitti Boo on TM for a few weeks before it sold - I just kept relisting it until it sold as I too didn't want to sell a 'worn twice' nappy for too little. I got $30 (incl. post) for my Bitti Boo.

Well Astin had a HUGE! sleep!! went down around 11ish and woke at 3.30ish! so he was well and truely soaked lol

How long are they meant to hold for??

I got a lime and a yellow and was trying to buy an orange and mint from the aussie website but apparently they wont deliver over here

I"m not sure how long they are suppose to last but Spencer was in his 5 hours without a leak. I forgot to change his nappy before putting him down for a nap. Does Astin sleep on his tummy? Spencer does quite often and then sometimes leaks out of whatever nappy he is in. Sadly we are in sposies at night cos of it.

The orange and mint etc are all coming in soon to Mothers Instinct. I read a post on here about it. Hopefully soon.

The nappy that I sold you had only been washed twice so bare that in mind - a few extra washes will increase absorbency. My D'lishs only lasted 2hrs for the first few wears but after 6+ washes they now easily last 4hrs. I would expect the Bitti Boo to last the same after extra washing, although it would depend on what sort of wetter Astin is. Also sleeping positions can affect whether a nappy leaks or not.

OK so i have been a bit naeive! (SP??) I thought a fitted was something with no loose bits (all sewn inside)???????

Do all the ittis need covers????

Posted By: AliaDawn
Date Posted: 05 July 2008 at 7:58pm
Yes, fitteds need covers. There's no waterproofing layer in them at all - hence why you'll be getting leaks! The bitti boo's are fitteds and require covers. The Bitti D'lish are All in ones, and have a sewn-in layer of PUL, so they don't need covers.

Oh you poor thing, no wonder you got leaks! I feel bad now for not specifying the need for a cover in my TM add - I just assumed that the buyer would know that a Bitti Boo fitted would require a cover

A 'fitted' nappy is a nappy where the whole body of the nappy is absorbent, but as no waterproof layer so it requires a cover. An AIO or pocket nappy don't require a cover as the body of the nappy has a built-in waterproof layer.

all bitti boos (fitteds) need a cover.

as with AIO's and fitteds they can be made several ways, the construction of a nappy has very little to do with the type.... for example the bitti dlish AIO comes in either a snap in or sewn in version...and their fitteds are snap in. snazzipants do a fitted nappy where it is all enclosed which is different again.

If you don't want a fitted nappy then you should go for the Itti Bitti D'lish - it's like a pocket nappy except the inserts snap in, just like in the Bitti Boo, only no cover required!    They also have a new version with the inserts sewn in, but they will take longer to dry.

Interestingly, I don't find that the sewn in takes longer to dry than the snap in - not entirely sure why not tho...

its nothing like a pocket nappy, it doesnt have a pocket and it doesnt have an outer layer of PUL and the abosrbency is already included and is already sewn on or has snaps to snap it together.

I also find the sewn in itti dlish (AIO) dries very quickly and i love i dont have to look for the snap on bits.

if you want the best for ease of use then get the bitti d'lish. youcan get a trial pack from mothers instinct, which is two nappies, one is a snap in the other sewn in and then you can decide which you prefer.

so to recap

bitti boo is a fitted and will need a cover
bitti d'lish is an all in one (AIO) and needs nothing else.

Bizzy - What I meant was it's like a pocket in that it has a built-in waterproof layer (doesn't need a cover) - and if you look at the rest of what I said, I went on to say that it has snap-in inserts (rather than a pocket with inserts) which is where it differs from a pocket. Besides, not all pockets have an outer layer of PUL

I find the sewn in is really bulky compared to the snap in, prob cos you can control the inserts better with the snap in.

My sewn in takes a good half day longer to dry then my snap in.

with this weather lately i havent been able to dry mine outside but i will say mine (sewn in) takes a lot less to get dry than some of my fitteds. definitely another reason why the trial pack is a good idea.

I'm gonna buck the trend here & say that I don't like my d'lish. It has started leaking & I think the size is wrong for Liam (he's 8kg & in a med). The legs gap as does the waist even though I can't do the snaps up on the tighest setting.

I really want to it but after major leaks I just can't bring myself to put it on him again so it sits staring at me on the change table.
